Bucky's POV
He had actually met Erik Lehnsherr before.
As Bucky paced his room, he went over it in his head.
It wasn't a very pleasant experience.
It had been November 22nd, 1963, and he had been assigned to kill President John Kennedy.
Unfortunately for him, Lehnsherr had been there to prevent him.
Bucky barely escaped with his life.
He wasn't sure how, but he had actually managed to kill the President despite the efforts of Magneto.
Bucky was sure that this would not be good for the meeting with Lehnsherr.
He would recognize him, and then...
Bucky had no idea how he would react. That was part of the problem.
Would he try to kill Bucky?
Would he refuse to help them?
Undoubtedly, there would be some drama, and then Nat would be mad at him.
It would be better if he didn't go to the meeting.
But there was a problem with that, too.
Marjorie.
As usual, even the idea of leaving Marjorie with someone or something potentially dangerous made his skin crawl.
But if Bucky was there, then he might make the situation more dangerous.
He couldn't figure a way out.
Of course, it would probably be fine. Marjorie seemed to know Lehnsherr, they might even be friends. And she would be with everyone else.
However, he still couldn't get past all the unknown variables.
He didn't even know where the meeting was!
The tower?
Or somewhere else?

"He's coming here. Why?"
Bucky had luckily found Nat alone, and he had asked her where the meeting was in what he hoped was a casual way.
Bucky shrugged. "Have you ever met him?"
Nat paused her stretching and flipped out of her handstand. "No. But you have, right?" she guessed.
Well, he had been going to tell her anyway.
"Not formally."
"As the Winter Soldier?" she gasped. "And you guys fought?"
Bucky nodded grimly.
"That complicates things," she muttered.
"Yeah, I know." Bucky probably knew more complications than Natalia, most of them self-invented.
"Wait–" Nat stared at Bucky, suspicious "–how did you survive a fight against Magneto? You literally have a metal arm!"
"Don't sound so disappointed," he muttered.
Honestly, Bucky had no clue how.
"Well, you probably should not be at the meeting."
He had guessed that she would suggest that.
