One year later
Sarah frowned at me as she saw my panic ridden face in the mirror. She gently grabbed my shoulders in reassurance "you look beautiful. Stop panicking"
I swallowed saliva and shook my head "no- everyone is going to be looking at me" continuing to shake my head I began to pace the small room which was connected to the wedding venue.
"Look at me right now Willa" Sarah instructed with a firm tone. "You're absolutely breathtaking. You're about to marry the love of your life. You can do this"
I nodded and lowered my head "I'm just so nervous"
Sarah laughed "I would be too if I was marrying Evan, he is... different"
Scoffing I let out a hearty laugh "you're right. He is like no other man I've ever known"
Looking back into the mirror I saw how my wedding dress fit me like a glove; it then puffed out beautifully like a perfectly made princess gown. My hair was styled into waves with the middle section plaited and wrapped around; a small butterfly clip planted in the middle.
"She is right you know, if I was a man I would be feeling very envious right now that Evan gets to marry you" Erin cut in with Athena in her arms.
Athena wore a white dress too- the only person who was allowed to may I add. Floral and butterfly patterns swirled around the middle of her little dress which had short sleeves. Athena also looked like a princess today.
"Mummy is pwetty" Athena mumbled out loud which made me turn my head. Walking over to her I grabbed her hands and kissed them "you look more pretty my baby"
Athena gave me a scolding look "no! Mummy"
Laughing I kissed her chubby cheek and stroked it "okay we are both pretty"
"Sorry to interrupt but I wanted to see my daughter" my mother said as she strolled in, her eyes instantly watering when she saw me.
"Oh my goodness- you look gorgeous"
My mother wrapped her arms around me securely and squeezed me as tightly as possible. "You're lucky you took after me and not your father"
Shoving her arm playfully I dabbed at my eyes to insure I didn't ruin my makeup "dad isn't too bad" I corrected
"You always boost your fathers ego" she joked now dabbing at her own eyes.
Father then walked in with a strained expression "I'm about to give my daughter away, this doesn't feel real"
Running up to him I wrapped my arms around his neck "dad- You almost gave me a heart attack. You're late as usual"
Father pulled back with a frown "looking this good takes time" mother walked towards him and snaked her arm around his waist.
"You did suit up rather lovely dear" She chirped with a blush over her cheeks.
"Well I kind of had to make a point. You're always making a joke about how you're better looking than me when we all know that's a total lie"
Laughing at their childish behaviour I took another glance in the mirror, straightening out my dress and taking in a big breath. "Right I think we have held up everyone for long enough. Let's do this"
With a nod dad outstretched his arm "let's get you married baby girl"
Athena was then placed on the floor and took my other hand so she was the other side of me. Erin looked like she was about to burst into tears and Athena was smiling in 'awe'
