A couple of weeks have passed since you had dinner with Dee and his family. You've been visiting a few times a week to help Dee with playing guitar. It's been...Frustrating. He doesn't listen, not well at least- Every time you tried to help him he would disregard you with some sarcastic comments.

"I think I know what I'm doing,"

"Well- Maybe that's how you would do it,"

"You don't seem to know what you're talking about."

It drove you crazy. You wanted to rip your hair out of your sculp. But for some reason, at the end of each lesson he would say something that made you forget how much of an asshole he was.

"Thank you, for...Today. Even if your teaching skills are dreadful."

You wished he were more friendly, you were no longer seen as the new kid, meaning that less people have bothered you over the last few days, still, with how much time you've been spending time with Dee, could you consider him as your friend?

You guys didn't talk much during school, in fact, he didn't seem to talk much with anyone, other than to bribe or make some sort of business, in which he is back to his sarcastic, prideful way. Heavy though, would keep you plenty of company, he was younger than you but he was always fun to have around. Occasionally, he would show you the posts on his Instagram, like how he and his friends decided to copy off the girls doing gymnastics, or how he decided it was a great idea to feed a neighbor's dog with a steak (It didn't seem like it went well). It was hilarious, to say the least.

Today was no different, you were to walk home together to continue the guitar lessons, but during classes he would ignore you, going to his own little world inside his head.

You noticed that every time you'd approach him, Diana would look towards you two. She would say hi to you a couple of times, there has been a moment or two where she made fun of you when you were caught off-guard when the teacher would call you to answer a question, but other than that, you've had no trouble with her. Still, you couldn't help but feel a bit...uncomfortable, it's like she wanted something from you, you just hoped she would stop with the staring. Her friend group would also seem to gossip a lot, and you have caught them multiple times pointing or looking at you when they were all whispering and muttering. There was definitely something up with them.

Still, you ignored it as best as you could, high school drama wasn't really something you wanted to get into, especially since you've only been living here for a month or so.

The sound of the bell rings across the whole school. This time, you were supposed to wait for Dee to come to your classroom. You apparently "take too long" and his class isn't too far from yours, so why not just walk together?

You took your time packing up this time until you felt someone tap your shoulder. Looking over, you see Diana, with a couple of her friends standing by her. "Hey (y/n)" She smiled, though you could hear some giggling coming from her friends. "You know, not that its our.. business, but we've seen you walk with Dee a lot often, are you guys together or something? Because I mean..you know, I don't care, I support all kinds of relationships!" She giggled off, her friends clearly trying to stop their snickering.

Was this some sort of joke? You were horrified, didn't know how to reply. Did people think you guys were dating? And what kind of statement was that? Clearly she wanted to get something out of you, and she got it. The look on your face was enough to let them know how confused and annoyed you were, because soon they burst out laughing, "It's just a joke! Relax!" Diana snickered, holding onto your shoulder, "I know he's too smart for you anyway,"
