Maybe I'm creepy for watching her sleep, but I genuinely can't help it.

She just looks so serene and calm. Every once in a while, she twitches or scrunches her face, but it goes away as quickly as it comes. I've never met someone that I've been so captivated by. She's clearly attracted to me, or at least the things that I do, although it's odd, it's like she doesn't understand what she's feeling at all. She's 20, being a virgin is a possibility but not understanding what she's feeling is a whole other thing.

The door suddenly opens, and Enzo comes through the door. "Xander? Why is it so dark in here? And why are you playing classical musi-" Once Enzo's eyes adjust to the light, he sees Ellie sleeping peacefully on the couch. Thankfully, Enzo is naturally a quiet person, so she only moves a little bit, causing both of us to freeze before she settles, and we both take a breath. "What's she doing here?"

"She can't sleep at night. I think she needs people around her to sleep. Also we're buying her bakery." Enzo raises a confused eyebrow at me. "Only for a penny. The owner's a scumbag. He only ever hired her to run the whole thing, he harasses her and ogles her all the time, and he threatened her and Eddie while I was there. I didn't hear all of their conversation, but I'm pretty sure he said that he bruised her."

Enzo looks her over quickly. "I don't see a bruise."

"Yeah, he said that she covers it up with makeup, but I'll find it eventually. I threatened him and I've already sent over the papers for transfer of ownership, one cent as the price."

"How do you think she'll react to it?"

"She won't, I made him swear to not tell her, she'd just freak out. She wouldn't leave the bakery either, she apparently lives upstairs."

"But that's not a lot of room."

"Yeah, I know. I don't even think it's safe, I'm getting the plans for the building to see what our construction guys can do, but either way, that's at least one of her problems gone."

Enzo goes over to the other chair, slouching down and unbuttoning his jacket, sighing. "I'm glad she likes you."

"What, you don't think she likes you?"

"We've only met once, and I don't think she's really understanding the whole 'no talking' thing." Enzo then says, "I'm gonna go to my office, but I'll put up the divider. Tell her I said hi." Enzo walks over to his part of the office, shutting the divider and closing his door.

After about another hour, making three in total, Ellie opens her eyes slowly, then groans, closing them again and turning around, accidentally causing her dress to ride up higher than she would've wanted, if she were in her right mind. I chuckle quietly and walk over to her. I move her dress down and combs through her hair slowly, massaging her head. "Darling, it's time to get up."

She whines, turning towards me now and grabbing my hand that was on her leg, intertwining our hands and moving it to her chest, cradling them close to her. I blink at her in shock a few times before teasing her, saying, "I guess you don't want to go get lunch with me then." Her eyes shoot up, and she lets go of my hand quickly, sitting up and flattening out her dress.

"I'm ready." She blushes. I laugh and stand up, going back to combing through her hair, softly humming. "Did you have a nice nap?" She nods sleepily. "I'm glad. Do you know what you want to eat for lunch?"

"Pasta?" I smile down at her, finally done with her hair.

I hum. "Sure. You know, Enzo came in while you were sleeping."
