"Oh my goodness, this is so good!" She takes another bite of the penne pasta and moans softly, smiling at the bowl. "Are you guys enjoying it?"

"Yeah." Alex says, and she chooses then to look up at both of them across from her in the booth. They're both looking directly at her, eyes never straying away, with concentrated faces on. Both of their bowls are untouched.

She giggles. "Silly, you both haven't eaten anything yet. How will you know if you'll like it?"

"We're liking it, honey, trust me." Enzo says, in the deepest voice she's heard from him. She looks confused, but just goes back to her pasta, and eventually, they start eating.

She's eating the pasta fast, and Alexander says, "When was the last time you had pasta? We aren't going to take it away, you know."

She freezes and starts eating slower, blushing. "It's been a co-couple of years."

"But you seem to like it a lot." Alexander questions, eyebrows raised.

"Yeah, um, I just don't have the time to make it, and Eddie and I don't really go out and get food too often. I try to get him pizza every once in a while." She grimaces, making Alexander laugh and Enzo crack a small smile.

"What, you don't like pizza?" She shakes her head. "Why do you get it then?" Alexander asks. Enzo is silent during this entire conversation, just watching her, which makes her squirm a little. It's the eyes, she just can't understand why they make her feel so...cornered.

"Eddie likes it."

"Well, what do you get instead?"

"I eat the pizza." She goes in for another bite, and the two men take in what she's saying. They know it isn't a big deal to eat something that you don't like, but the way she says it so unhesitatingly, they wonder if she eats stuff she doesn't like all the time, at the expense of Eddie. She speaks again. "Thank you both so so so much for going to lunch with me. I haven't had lunch outside of the bakery or the university dining hall in a long time."

"It's no problem, Ellie. Stop by the building anytime and we'll go and grab lunch together." She smiles widely at Alexander's words, and Enzo nods as well, making her smile wider.

She says softly now, looking at the almost finished pasta, "You know, you both are very lucky. Eddie doesn't like men most of the time, and he has a really hard time talking to anybody apart from me. The way he speaks to you both, especially you Enzo, I haven't seen him like that in years. Thank you both for being nice to him. And me." She says the last part in a whisper, but they both hear it loud and clear.

"That's what friends are for," Alexander says. "I like your dress by the way."

She blushes with a smile now. "Thank you! It's one of my favorites, apart from the yellow rose one I wore a couple of days ago. I only have about four, but those two are my favorites. I hadn't actually worn a dress in a while, but now it's warm outside, unfortunately, and I can't wear sweatshirts all the time." She says with a frown, adjusting her dress.

Both boys look surprised, and Alexander asks, "You don't like the warm weather? You live in California."

She smiles, "Not by choice, I've always lived in California. And no, I like cold weather much more, but I've rarely ever experienced it. Maybe one day once I'm out of college and working at a business where they allow time off, I can go to Washington or something and see snow. The pictures look nice." She looks at her empty bowl of pasta now, smiling down, thinking.
