authors note - Alexander POV chapter again, and short chapter again. Sorry not sorry I love Alexander

I'm teaching my class, specifically putting focus on the relationship aspect of the sexual nature between people, and I see Ellie grow more and more confused from the back of the classroom.

As I end the lesson and people are starting to leave the classroom, I turn to my desk to pack up, until I hear a faint voice. "Um, sir?"

I smile and turn towards her. She was standing directly behind me, looking intently at her notes. "I-I'm confused. If you need to leave, I totally understand and I can just go home and learn online if you want-"

I interrupt her. "Sit, Ellie. Please." She sits down in front of my desk, and I lean against it, outstretching one of my arms towards her. "May I see your notes?"

She blushes intensely. "Um, yeah, that's okay. But I want you to know that I dumbed it down for myself, by like, a lot." She doesn't hand it over yet, instead bringing it closer to herself, waiting for my answer.

"Ellie, you are far from dumb. I'm fine with any notes that aren't just drawings."

She looks down. "I may have drawn flowers around the margins. But that was just because I got here early, I swear." She slowly hands it over, and I take the pink notebook and bring it close to my face, reading over her writings.

She was right, she did simplify things, albeit, in the most wholesome language possible. 'The two people that like each other a lot make feelings happen inside their bodies and their brains and that affects their thought process.' I wanted to laugh so badly. "These are great, Ellie." I wasn't lying, other than the...interesting choice of words she used, they were very good notes. "What are you confused about?"

For the next 15 minutes, I answered simple questions from her, and she took her notebook back to scribble down things that I was saying. We make jokes back and forth and slowly move closer together, and she offers me a twizzler from her bag, which I greedily take. I was really enjoying myself, and was sad when she finally got out of her seat.

It was only then that I took in how she looked. She had her hair in a ponytail behind her, with two brown strands in front of her face. She didn't have any makeup on, or at least I couldn't tell. She was wearing a pair of light blue jeans and Vans, with her white shirt tucked in. It was a basic outfit, but her jewelry was what made it look amazing. She had two or three gold necklaces on, and several bracelets and rings. Her ears had at least three or four piercings in each. Some may say it was excessive, but I liked how I could point her out in a room full of people just by her jewelry.

Before she walks fully out the door, I ask her slowly, "Ms. Taylor, did I do something wrong earlier this morning, when I offered to drive you and your brother to the elementary school?"

She looks hesitant, and says quietly, "I-It's just, I only met you a couple of days ago. I-I don't think you're a bad guy or anything like that of course, but still, what if you're a terrible driver or something?" she thinks about what she said for a moment, and then looks wide eyed at me in panic. "Oh my gosh, I don't think you're a bad driver at all, I'm so sorry! I'm just not a very trusting person, and now I'm rambling and being stupid and oh gosh why am I still talking-"

Her rambling makes me chuckle. "Ellie, that's a perfectly fine explanation. You barely know me, I understand."

"...You do?"

I offer a smile, seeing her calm down. "Yes, completely." I pick up a sharpie from my desk and extend my hand, my silver rings shining from the overhead light. She looks confused. "Give me your hand, Ms. Taylor."

She gives me her hand, and I begin to write on her arm. "What are you writing?"

"My name and phone number. You can look me up online, and see if I seem like I would kidnap you and your brother." In all honestly, I knew exactly what would come up in her search bar. AVE Foundation Co-Founder Alexander Marcello blah blah blah. I figured that my business success might calm her nerves.

And did I want to brag a little to the woman that made me smile? Yeah, can you blame me?

"But why did you write your phone number?" Her little eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she looked deeply into my eyes. It felt like she was getting closer, but I know it was only my emotions playing tricks on me. God, I'd do anything to stay here, in this moment, forever.

"If you have any more questions about class, don't hesitate to text or call me."

She smiles and grabs my hand, writing on my hand instead of my arm, with her name and phone number. "You can look me up and see if I'm a criminal who would steal your car."

I smile. "And the phone number?"

From her unyielding smile, I knew it wasn't for romantic purposes. "For large orders, I make deliveries sometimes. and you like to order a lot." She hesitates for a moment. "I'm not calling you fat or anything, you look very fit and attractive- not attractive like 'wow he's hot' but like athletic- why do I even speak at all-"

I stop her with a laugh, and say, "I might just take you up on that sometime, I'm sure my friends would love your baking, I know I do."

She continues to hold onto my hand before I look down and up again slowly, and she says, "Sorry!" and quickly gathers her things. "Thank you, Mr. Marcello! See you tomorrow!"
