                     ------Astrid's POV-----

Twittering birds and bright morning light woke me, feeling slightly rested and warm. I sighed in relief to see my brother and my friends safe and slowly waking up. Just then Fishlegs and Hiccup rounded the corner, carrying a big basket of fish. "It's not much... But hopefully we can get more after we decide what to do next," hiccup said, pouring the food out on the ground. Everyone had a little fish and some food foraged from the forest, and then we started discussing what we should do. I sat close to Hiccup, and leaned my head against his shoulder. I'd gotten some good sleep, but I was still very tired. He smiled at me and took my hand, listening to the pod discuss our predicament. Heather had described the state of Berserker Island and her hopes to rescue the people there, but the pod was divided. They couldn't decide if they wanted to risk helping humans, who had rarely shown anything but contempt and hate for their kind.

"Maybe we will have to take those who want to help and leave tomorrow, then we'll come back when Berserker Island is stable. Or we could get rid of the queen first and then head to Berserker Island. That might do the most good... If we stop dragon attacks, the supplies we give them won't be destroyed." Hiccup said thoughtfully, watching spike tail snarl in frustration. "You know... That does make the most sense. Especially with what Fishlegs has said," I replied, my mind racing with ideas for taking out the queen dragon. Hiccup gave me a quick side hug and then stood, making a loud growl to silence spiketail and Windshear's arguing.

"Listen up gang. I agree that humans won't receive our help well. So let's take out the queen of the nest first, then we'll try to help humans after all the dragons are free and able to make their own choices." Hiccup said, earning interested gazes from the others. "But... It might be to late by then." Heather said quietly, worry etched in her pale face. "Not if we leave now, not if we send half the pod to drop supplies from a safe distance in the air," hiccup replied. "Actually... That could work. Windshear could be controlled by the queen... Even if you try to snap her out of it the queen may be to strong for her. So I'll lead a force to supply Berserker Island, and you can lead a force to take out the queen," Heather replied. The pod seemed far more excited about this idea, and began splitting up into groups.

Hookfang, spike tail, and Stormfly decided to go with Hiccup and I. They had personal grievances to settle with the queen that took so much from them. Meatlug, Zev, and Mya agreed to go with Heather. "Ok. I have an idea, Heather? Could you help me make a raft of some sort? We can launch it off the nearest shore and head around to the dock. We will trick Berk into thinking we escaped Berserker Island to get supplies... We'll tell them our ships were all destroyed by Grim reapers, and everyone on Berserker Island will die if we don't get supplies to them right away," I said. "Ok. And then we load up supplies in a ship, sail out of sight, and then load up the dragons? They can get supplies back faster. And we promise Berk to come back for a second round of supplies." Heather replied.

"Right! And the second trip will be all of us coming back on dragons- we will tell Berk and Berserker Island the raids are over. Maybe we will be able to live in peace with each other after that," Hiccup said, sounding excited. The dragons roared in approval and we set out to our tasks. Windshear helped Heather and I cut down and shape trees into a small raft, then we crossed a few planks over and under and nailed them in place. The raft was not very strong, but it would do for a quick spin. We used the waves and sand on the shore and some random seaweed to make the raft look like it had been at sea, and then made a little mast with a tree branch and a grubby, half burned sheet Fishlegs found us. By this time, Zev and Mya had all provisions packed for the journey on their back, Ruff nut and Tuff nut were arguing about which boar the Berserkers would like more, and Hiccup was sighing in exasperation as he tried to explain to ruff and tuff why they couldn't carry a boar on Zev and Mya. I stood up from the finished raft and watched my friend with a smile.
