𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗶 || 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘂 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗼. 𝘁𝗯𝗵𝗸

𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙑𝙄 ; 𝘼𝙣 𝙐𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩

With a heavy tension in the air that was almost too thick and eerie, the school fell night with a midnight bloom as only two students remained. One stayed by the side of her president while the other was going to be the one who creates the difficulty of this tragedy.

Y/n holds a tray next to her as she watches Teru holding the syringe in his hand and flicking the tiny needle almost glaringly at the small apparitions as they quivered and stared at her with a panicked faces. As much as she wanted to save the small Mokkes, she cannot disobey the contract signed, and this was the benefit of the Mortals among the apparitions.

"Here's the bottle, Teru." Y/n says as she passes over the bottle of a mysterious substance that only Teru knew about, a frightening glance hovered over him as he smiled at the Mokkes, "Thank you very much, Miyoko." He says.

He instantly slips the needle into the vial of liquid and injects the serum into the apparition as the Mokkes yell loudly as lightning hits, causing the girl to shiver slightly, she watches the Mokke begin to wake up and groan similarly to a zombie's behavior as she is shocked. "...Teru. May I ask what you injected into the Mokkes?" She asked with a straight face.

"It's called Kegare. It's a spirit-withering liquid, once injected, they'll become infected like this and lose their rationality." He said, looking down at her, as he put the needle back on the tray she was clutching, "You are to not tell anyone about what happened tonight."

"Affirmative, Teru." She bends her head slightly as she places the tray on the table, and her body hovers slightly, prompting her to ask another inquiry. "If I may ask..." He tilts his head in her direction as she lowers her eyes.

"Will I get infected as well?"

"If you get too close to the infected apparitions or people. Yes, you will if they bite you." He nods his head and runs his finger over his mouth before looking at her. "So, you better not get infected tomorrow or even tonight. Understood?"

"I'll do as you say, Teru."

"You have to stay close. Otherwise, things will backfire."

Yashiro always stops into the girls' toilet to visit Hanako, just like each other afternoon. She peeks by the door frame and greeted the ghost that was with the Mokkes with a contented smile on her face. "Good morning, Hanako! I'm here!" She quipped.

With no response to which Hanako could answer, his head dropped low among the gathering Mokkes. His hand joints cracked, "Yashiro...?" His voice gurgled as he grabbed Yashiro by the arm and pinned her to the floor while she squealed.

As a low sigh from Hanako, nearly raspy and hoarse, his head pushed closer to Yashiro, allowing him the opportunity to bite and infect her, Yashiro shouted as she grudgingly cried out to Hanako once more, "Get away from Yashiro!" Kou claims he almost freaked out when he barged into the restroom and punched the apparition.

"I come to help out in cleaning and this is what I find? What the hell are you doing to Yashiro??!" Kou thrashed the ghost while grabbing him by the shoulders and yelling, "What's gotten into you?"

"Gimme candy..." Hanako groans, causing Yashiro and Kou's faces to slump as Hanako drools. "G-Get away, Hanako!" Yashiro and Hanako ran towards the door while yelling, with Kou extending out a protecting arm toward Yashiro as they did so.

A cry of terror sounded through the corridors as they opened the doors to a classroom and witnessed Kou's classmates get bitten and infected the same way by the Mokkes as Kou wailed in panic. "T-The Mokkes are attacking?!"

When Kou made a mistake by shouting the names of his friends, they fled in the opposite way and began to hide behind a locker, while the infected remained nearby and exchanged bewildered stares. "I can't believe Hanako is also acting weird...What's gonna happen to us?"
