Things were no longer the same when the apparitions vanished from the mortal living world.

"Hanako...Hanako?"

Kou peers through the bathroom as he slides through, resting a hand on Yashiro's shoulder with a sad sigh, Yashiro mumbled as she banged on the door and received no response. "...Is Mitsuba with you?" Yashiro asks as Kou shook his head sadly.

"Sensei Tsuchigomori and the Misaki Stairs don't even exist anymore. Even the Mokke's are gone." Yashiro lowered her gaze as Kou spoke, and a thought came to her as she snapped her fingers, "Y/n! We can still try...!"

Kou groaned and nodded, frowning at her enthusiasm despite his knowledge that the apparitions were long gone from this reality.

They attempted to replicate the game on a piece of paper before going over and placing a coin with their fingertips on the coin. "Kokkuri-san...Are you there?" Yashiro muttered. After waiting for the penny to move for some time, Yashiro pulls away while sobbing softly and hugging her body.

"Even she's gone..."

They weren't the only ones who missed their apparitions. Even Akane, who knew how much Aoi meant to him as his cherished childhood friend and a girl he admired so much, was missing the girl so badly that he couldn't even look at Yashiro the same.

"President! What should we do?"

A classmate remarks as they turn to look at Teru, who is resting against the door frame, tightening his hold on his arm before quickly leaving, causing the students to turn to each other, blaming each other for even irritating their student council president.

Akane seemed to notice how Y/n's departure had badly impacted the president as well; yeah, he was still sadistic to the vice and all, but it wasn't the same vicious look because of the slight black eye bags under his eyes, no matter how hard Teru attempted to cover it with his fake reading glasses.

Teru missed having the ghost hover around him; even though she was a secretary, she was so distinct from the rest of the beings in the universe. He could not express how he was feeling because he had missed so many of the times he had spent with the ghost.

"Because I don't want your future to change!"

Was he expected to have feelings for someone except her?

What did she alter in the timeline?

Why did she do that?

He stood up straight as the school bell sounded, signaling the conclusion of another school day without an impediment or an apparition in sight. Teru opened the door and remained motionless as he went up to the Teacher's Lounge and knocked on the door as one of the instructors granted him permission to come in.

"...Excuse the intrusion but, has anyone heard of a girl named, Y/n?" The teachers were shocked at the name and began to murmur until one of the female teachers got up and raised her hand. "Yes. She was one of my students who was murdered before she could start her second year, and she was one of the victims."

Teru's eyes widened as his frown became obvious and his shoulders fell. "Do...you know where she lives? Maybe her grave even? I'm sorry but, I'd like to visit." He answered as she nodded.

"Why of course, dear."

"So, you're sure her grave's here?" Akane prodded the blonde man as he nodded as they moved down the secretary, gazing about. Teru comes to a halt by his steps as he stooped down to take a closer look at the gravestone with the name etched, kneeling down with his hands brushing against the stone.
