Ahana POV
Today in the morning we woke up with determination, we had all the stuff ready for implementing our genius plan for tomorrow night for that we have to visit our place and do our prep a day before.
We have packed all the equipment we would need and left, after keeping a watch for a while we entered the house with keys went inside and placed all the recording devices, the mini web camera's in all the corners of the house. There was microphones inserted wherever we could after which we also hid some things in the corner spaces so that no one in this house would know what we have done.
We mentally hified each other and left from that place to continue with our other works for tomorrow. While I was practicing my self defence moves, Atharva stood on by the side, giving me feedback on what else I could do. When I ended my session he told me to relax for the day as tomorrow is going to be a big day for me and he does not want me to tire myself anymore because he wants my muscles and body to heal until its time to use them again.
When I had my shower and sat down with a book, I remembered the conversation we had a while ago about what happened the day that we separated years ago...
Atharva and I were spinning our own dreams when a storm shattered his home. His dad collapsed due to cardiac arrest, though his mom was in bed after fainting and falling because of the tragic information, she had managed to instruct the near and dear ones not to reveal anything until he finishes his graduation as he worked hard for it.
As soon as they saw Atharva walking down the aisle to collect his diploma, they knew they had to make him sad now. It was that moment when we both met up with each other and looked into each other's eyes, seeing our dreams come true when our batch students picked him up on their shoulders and marched him around as he was going to join the posting soon that was after he would take the parents approval and get married to me.
After the march got done I got a call from principal's office asking me to come there ASAP, to find out that I was selected for a grant and could work on the research project I had dreams for while working in the organization. I was over the moon only to realize I could not find Atharva, unaware that he was told about his father's demise. As I had to submit that important documents I got busy with that, not knowing that in the evening would be the last time I would see him because he would be talking to the principal right now about the future and he would pressurize and make Atharva feel guilty because he wanted to take me with him to USA, for himself and him being a fool, guilty about ruining my life will listen and leave me here with vultures.
From what he told me yesterday, our story dint end there, he kept calling principal sir to know my status as he dint want to disturb me in my success and divert my mind, once when he called he was told how I just got out of depression and started working hard again, doing my master's, the next time when he called he was told how I finally had my life on track and if he called me or came in the way by telling the tragic loss he faced it would not only disturb me but I will end up loosing my parent's support which I finally got and break off the engagement which I agreed for giving him the notion that I have moved on, him being a sacrificing idiot let it happen but the dumbass never knew what all I had lost and suffered. He told me that when I had my operation was the first time he saw me after years, and from what he could gather from Gayathri, my colleague he decided to be my shadow, protecting me until he saw my husband and decided to come in front of me.
Listening to all the truth my head spinned that day, and after the plan successfully completes I am also going to confront the principal for ruining my life in a way. I am going to have a long conversation with him.
