Christine giggled softly as James cuddled into her. It was the weekend and from what she was told the day prior, the boys were going out to the mall. That meant, she and James didn't have much else to do.

Well, she was sure he had plenty of things to do with his many companies, but she was glad that he was spending time with her. He was always so sweet and loving to her whenever they were together. She had seen his usual expressions when he didn't realize she was looking. If the people he was talking to weren't his family, or her, his face was usually cold and serious. He was never rude or cruel to the other people, so it wasn't something she thought she needed to be truly concerned about. It actually made her heart warm. It meant she was one of the few people who got to see him smile and look so handsome smiling.

"I love you." He hummed, kissing the place where her shoulder and neck met.

She noticed that he did that every time he would tell her he loved her. She wasn't exactly sure why, but it always made her feel so happy, and she already knew how much he loved her. Though, she had asked his ex-wife about that.

The woman gave her a wide-eyed look before she gave an amused chuckled. The tall woman then tilted her head, exposing a rather detailed tattoo. It was right where the neck and shoulder met.

"When we find the person we're willing to marry for life, we get matching marks. Me and James didn't because we knew we would eventually find someone better suiting, but," the woman shrugged, laughing a little, "we wanted to see how things would play out. You could say that we're a cult for thinking like that, but we rarely divorce because of it."

That was all Christine needed to hear and know. It made her heart skip a beat at the thought of him truly believing she was perfect for him. That he wanted to marry her and stay with her for the rest of their lives! It made her want the same thing.

"I love you too." She cooed back to him, shifting herself so she was facing him.

He gave her a loving and encouraging smile. He was waiting for her to make the first move. He always did. He wanted to show her he was a better lover than her last thing, and that she was safe and truly cherished.

The red-haired woman took a deep breath before leaning down and gently nipping the spot where his neck and shoulder met. Surprisingly, he gave a low moan!

She pulled back from him in surprise. She watched as he opened his eyes, a wolfish smirk on his lips that sent tingles down her spine and to her groin. There was so much lust and desire in his eyes that she didn't know what to do. Her ex-husband never looked at her like that. He only touched her whenever he was bored or wanting to hurt her. No, the way her loving boyfriend was looking at her, it made her feel things she hadn't felt in a long time.

He sat up, cupping her chin and pulling her closer to him. She willingly followed, sparks dancing from where his hand laid.

"Do you know what you did~?" His voice was deeper and cooler, making her practically melt.

"X-Xenia told me why you keep kissing my neck like that... I-I thought I would re-return the favor."

Oh god, her body was shaking so much she felt like a chihuahua! Yet, he smiled at her and kissed her so sweetly and lovingly. Carefully, he moved them back into the bed, him on top of her. It was there that she felt how turned on he really was.

She broke the kiss, a deep blush on her face. She couldn't believe she had gotten him like that. It felt like he was standing at a full erection.

"Why don't we stop here?" He asked, stroking her cheek. "I think you've learned your lesson~" He purred.

Christine couldn't stop the pout that formed. She wanted it to go further, but she didn't want to push him. She wasn't confident enough for that just yet.

It seemed then, that his phone began to ding with emails. He sighed heavily, dropping his head into her neck. She smiled a little, wrapping her arms around his neck and giggling in his ear. She felt him tense for a second, rocking his hips into her to show her just what her giggle did to him.

"Work sounds so unappealing." He whined lowly. He knew he sounded like his son, but he honestly didn't care. He just wanted to spend time with his mate! They were so close to finishing the bonding.

"We can always take a vacation?" The red-haired woman whispered sweetly.

The older adult pulled up to look at his mate with a confused look on his face.

"Where would we go?" He asked slowly. He hadn't really taken a vacation when he had taken over the business. There was always something to improve upon or a new project that needed to be supervised.

The green-eyed woman frowned, biting her bottom lip as she pulled her hands to her lips. She was thinking. She didn't want to go somewhere too far away, or somewhere that would make him uncomfortable... He was always asking about her home life before her ex...

"We can go to my sister's home? It's..." She gave a small, wistful smile. "It's where we grew up. A town a little smaller than the one you nabbed me from." She winked at the end of that, trying to be playful.

James blinked before smiling ever so gently. Leaning down, he kissed her lips then trailed his lips down to her neck. He placed a single kiss there, before leaning back. He smiled a little more at how her face had turned a soft pink.

"I think that's a wonderful idea~ It can be a small trip with me, you, Ryker and Alastair. I'm sure Ryker would like to see his old home, and well, my son won't leave his side." The last bit held some truth behind his words.

The forty-year-old woman blinked before she turned her head and giggled. She then looked to her lover, cupping his face with both of her hands.

"He's going to have to work very hard for him~" She hummed before kissing his lips. She then gently pushed him away. "Now get some work done so we can take the holiday break."

He growled lowly, quickly stealing one more kiss before dressing up for his office. She lightly laughed at him, smiling. Sighing happily, she relaxed in their bed. She certainly was living the life. A very good life.
