Terrance Pov
My whole life I've been told life is what you make it and that you go for what you want no matter what and never let no one or nothing stand in your way. I have always applied this saying to every challenge and obstacle I've faced in my life, which I may add has made me into the successful man I am today.
Growing up in a wealthy family I always knew that I wanted to be successful on my own outside of my family's wealth. My father alway made sure to tell my older brother and I to network and build strong alliances with the other well-to-do families. My mother made sure that she set up play dates with the other rich socialite moms to build strong friendships and bonds with their children.
One family in particular that she emphasized the importance of building a friendship with was the Mckinleys son, Brandon Mckinley. I did as I was told but honestly I thought he was a spoiled brat. Anytime I saw him around school he was always talking with the other kids bragging about his family's wealth and the new toys and stuff his daddy dearest bought him.
I thought he was a real lame kid just using his family's wealth and name to seem cool and popular with the other kids, anyway it was easy to befriend him by my own family's wealth and status and we became close and built a strong friendship as the years went on.
Throughout most of our elementary, middle, and high school years Brandon and I became the most popular boys and the most successful athletic and academic students in school and had our fair share of the ladies and all the guys hung around us because of that. Most people thought that we had a little friendly rivalry to see which one of us was better than the other but I never paid attention to all that, I just was focused on achieving my goals. It continued on like this even when we went to college.
During our sophomore year of college Brandon and I were getting settled into our new dorm room and decided after packing away everything to go get a bite at the student cafeteria on campus.
While on our way we were checking out the new freshmen girls to see if there were any we wanted to talk or f**k around with. While we were walking I was listening to Brandon gossip about some bih he f**cked last night, when I seen this fine a** lil bih having difficulty caring her belongings to her dorm building. She was so damn beautiful and had a nice lil thick and curvy body on her, just the way I like them. She had on a cute lil peach summer maxi dress and sandals and wore glasses to frame those beautiful almond shape brown eyes, and beautiful brown flawless skin. You could tell she was the shy and nerdy but fine good girl type.
I was brought out of my thoughts, when Brandon tapped me on my shoulder and had my attention back to him with this annoyed look on his face.
"N**ga where your mind at?"
"What bruh?"
"What?!Bruh I'm up here telling you about the lil bih I smashed last night and you up here in a daze not even listening."
"My bad bruh but I saw this lil bih that caught my attention. Shawty fine a** hell."
"Who? Where is she at?"
"Right there behind you going to Building B dorms."
"Damn she nice, n**ga what you waiting for go talk to her, s**t if you won't I will."
"Hands off that one B, I saw her first and besides ain't you and ole girl from last night talking?"
"Nah you know I don't do relationships, and besides all these h*es fair game."
"Well not that one, I mean it B hands off that one. Now C'mon I'm starving lets go get something to eat."
"Alright n**ga damn, I hope they cook some good today cuz a n**ga hungry."
"Facts."
As we walked on ahead to the cafeteria, I made a mental note to chat with lil mama when I see her again. Maybe she might be the one to make me finally settle down and stop playing around out here with these females.
As the weeks went by and everyone was settled and classes started, I was in my dorm room studying for a test exam coming up when Brandon walked in with this stupid a** smirk on his face.I looked at him curiously wondering what the f**k he so happy about.
"What the hell you so happy about or should I say who?"
"Well you know ole girl that you showed me a few weeks ago when we were walking to the cafeteria?" Please tell me this n**ga didn't smash her.
"Yeah what about her, Man please don't tell me you smashed her?"He had this nervous look on his face.
"Nah nothing like that, it's just that it turns out she is in one of my classes and I had asked to borrow a pen from her and from there we got to making small talk and I guess she was liking the vibe and asked me out for a coffee date this Saturday." What the f**k, is this n**ga forreal. He don't even like them type of chicks.
"Are you serious right now man, her out of all the people man you knew I was feeling her, why didn't you just decline the date?" I was slightly pissed off with him because I knew how Brandon was, most likely he was flirting with her and she took the bait. It's almost like this nigga did it on purpose.
"Look man I was just having a small chat with her and it went from there. She started flirting with me and besides you know how these females be picking and choosing."
"Whatever B." Smh this n**ga so lame he knew I was feeling her and still went for her anyway. One thing I hate is a disloyal a** n**ga I swear.
"Look man you know you my boy, we shouldn't let a female come between us deadass?" I wanted to tell him to go f**k himself but I played along. I probably can still change this scenario and still get her at the end. She still fair game.
"Yeah we straight, what's her name anyway?"
"Her name is Danielle, when we were leaving class we met up with her friend Natalie."
"Oh yeah, how does her friend look?"I continued to act interested in her friend just to get to know more about Danielle.
"Her friend Natalie cute. She a nice lil thick and curvy redbone. She fine but not fine as Danielle."
"Oh okay so what both of them like personality wise?"
"Well you were right, Danielle is more of the good girl next door shy type, while Natalie is a very sexy outspoken and flirtatious type... I bet money Natalie is a freak." He laughed but I was not in the least interested in hearing about her friend. If anything Natalie was more of Brandon's type.
"Alright set it up so we can meet up and double date or sum." I had plans of my own to make Danielle mine.
"Alright you sure you are okay with this man?"
"Yeah we cool bruh." Little did he know. I had my own agenda of getting him out of the way and making Danielle mine. There was no other option for me and what I wanted I got. And I want her, now it's time to put my plan into motion.
I wish this n**ga good luck because no one crosses me and gets away with it.
