Monday evening Gina and Paul Rosenberg came home to bad news, for them. Their third-born completely believed her girlfriend. She defended her lover to the point of tears, they had to stop in two hours.

Teddy's parents couldn't anything to convince her, but they knew that their daughter would respect a conclusion reached by a council having an external view. So, they decided that all the people trusted with their lives will gather at the Rosenberg residence Tuesday evening to see if dating Maddy was worth the risk of dying.

Teddy went to school the next day with dark skies for a head. Usually, her friends were able to part the clouds but this time they pulled with all their might only to get scolded by their Sonny. She apologized shortly after.

Teddy dodged Maddy's questions but she still got a peek, her body language was very telling around those she trusted. Maddy kept asking "What happened?" in whispers in their Biology class and Teddy replied "No" with different tones and sweet expressions each time till they got kicked out.

They took their books and left the classroom, Teddy took the lead. Once the door closed behind them, Maddy took Teddy by the hand and pulled her to a stop. Teddy turned around and Maddy asked, "What happened?"

"N-nothing! Sorry, I was just- ..I got lost thinking. I'm sorry."

Maddy stepped closer and softly asked, "Are you okay?"

"Yes... I am okay," she said, her tone mixed with irritation and love.

"But you're not."

The fuse broke. "THEN WHY DID YOU ASK WHETHER I'M ALRIGHT??"

Maddy got scared, she dropped the hand of the girl she loved and took a step back unconsciously. Mr. Ramirez also got scared and opened the door with wide eyes.

Maddy turned to look at him and apologized before taking Teddy's hand again and taking her to the bleachers.

They climbed all the way up and sat on the topmost row. Teddy plopped down with her face buried in her hands, Maddy saw Nate in her mind for a second. "I'm so sorry Maddy... I didn't mean to scream at you," she said crying into her hands.

Maddy swallowed the fear that came from a flashback in the yellow-lit room. She faced Teddy with her body and ran her left hand up and down Teddy's back to calm her down. "It's okay."

Nobody would've guessed that the girl in the pale blue body-hugging sweatsuit and impressively done makeup would be with the girl in grey sweatpants, a long grey AC/DC t-shirt that reached her knees, converse that haven't been washed in three years and a bare face would date each other outside a film.

Maddy wrapped her hands around Teddy's hips, placed her head on her lover's shoulder and coolly asked, "Baby, do you love me?"

Those words got Teddy to raise her face from her hands and look at the head resting on her shoulder. "What a question is that?" she replied, her last tear falling, "Of course I do."

"We did say that we love each other yesterday, didn't we?" Her tone was still casual.

"Yeah!" Teddy responded, now afraid where Maddy was trying to go.

"That means we kinda have to tell each other everything right?"

"I guess..."

"Then why don't you tell me what you've got on your mind?"

"Because I don't wanna worry you!" she said like a kid in middle school.

Maddy calmly argued, "Well, I'm already worrying about you. You'll ease my mind by telling me what the problem is. Otherwise, I'll get scared of the things I think up with my imagination."
