When the last bell rang for the day, Teddy hurried down to Maddy's locker. She saw her girlfriend's friends in a crowd and called out to her across the hall. "Maddy!"
Maddy snapped her head in her girlfriend's direction and her face lit up.
Her friends took it as cue to leave. Cassie asked with a smirk, "I'll see you at practice, right Maddy?"
Maddy blushed, "Yeah."
Teddy reached her by then and they took her leave as well. They cooed, "See you tomorrow Sonny..."
She smiled. "Bye guys."
Once they were all gone, Maddy closed her locker and asked, "What's up?"
"So, I was wondering...", she then whispered, "if you'd wanna go somewhere and have a picnic instead of just sitting at the cafe on our laptops?"
She went down to Teddy's volume. "I'd... love to. But I have cheer practice."
"We can go after that!"
"...It's.. only Monday."
"Yeah, I know."
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah! Completely! I'm just not really in the mood to do any research or homework." Did she find out that I have things to ask her?
"...You're not getting me to meet your parents, are you?"
"No! They'll be at work till 7. We can go after practice, reach the spot by 4:15 and drive you back by 4:30 if you don't like it."
"Okay... And you'll go now with your friends, come back with them, pick me and then we'll all go for the picnic together?"
"No, I thought I'll wait here, cause they won't take money from me and why should we waste theirs? Also, Sam has agreed to pick me up whenever I wanted today, because he's free, and I thought... maybe we could chill today. The place I wanna take you is, like, a 15-minute walk from my place, so we can even have some food and I can drop you back!"
"You don't mind waiting for me?" she asked stepping closer and holding her lover by the shirt.
Teddy smiled. "No."
"Aww... Wanna come to the gym locker with me?"
People will know and it will ruin our plan and telling her will ruin the moment. "Uh... How about I go to the library, check out a few books and come to the studio for the practice? If it's not awkward. I don't want to trouble or seem like a-"
"I was gonna ask you to be there," Maddy exclaimed and chuckled. "See you at practice," she said walking away.
"See you..." I still can't believe that she's mine and I'm hers. Actually, we have not done anything for me to make such a claim. And... she may not want to be mine after today...
What am I doing? Why am I standing here like an idiot? Off to the library!

When the cheerleaders were warming up, Teddy walked into the studio back first holding one encyclopedia and three books. Everyone was surprised.
She turned to see everyone frozen except two smiling faces, one mischievously grinning and the other blushing because they knew. "Um.... You guys don't mind if I hang out here, right?"
Eleanor, the cheer captain, confusedly asked, "What's wrong with the library?"
Lie! "I... don't know, but I started getting these creepy vibes and I was the only person in the library other than Mr. Garrison, and I didn't wanna be there. So, is it fine if I sit here? I promise I won't disturb you guys."
