Henrik laughs as his older sister carried him on her shoulder. "C'mon sister! Let's go higher and higher."

Klaudia laughed, tiptoeing her feet as she gives her little brother a boost. "Wish to reach up to the heavens do we? Learn to fly and reach into the realm of Asgard young warrior?"

"I know we can as you're so tall and strong. We should climb up the highest tree in the forest." Henrik enthusiastically laughed.

Klaudia sniggered. "There will be more of that next time when you are older and a better climber as our siblings and parents would never hear the end of it of me allowing you to permit the gods to take you on the path of the Rainbow Bridge. Come on now." She sets her brother off her shoulders. "We must save our energy for later as promise for tonight's event."

"Yes sister." He was set down on the ground but continues jumping in overwhelming excitement. "Will we get to see the wolves change tonight."

Klaudia patted his head. "I am certain we will as they do change regardless of against their will." They head back to the village. On the way, Henrik continues his bombardment of questions on the werewolves.

"Sister, why is it the wolves only turn on a full moon?"

"Mother and Ayana have said it is a curse. Many don't know this but it was said centuries ago a powerful witch cursed a tribe before our parents or Ayana settled in the New World. It was said the first were the pack that go by the Crescent Wolf Pack."

Henrik raised a brow quizzically. "Why would a witch curse people to turn into beast."

The auburn hair hybrid shrugged. "I do not know the answer to that question brother. Nobody knows as to why bring in creatures of the moon. But I do know there is always a reason. Be it a curse or not it depends on the perspective you look at and if you wish for a gift to be a curse."

"And why would one wish to look at a curse potentially a gift?" Henrik furrows his brows at his sister's logic.

Klaudia chuckled. Her brother is young but he is perspective. "I suppose if you live miserably and at your lowest if you're a beast then you view it as a curse, if you have hope then it is a gift."

"I guess that makes sense." He looks up at his sister. "I heard from the village men that to those who have seen men turn to wolves described the wolves shift painfully. Hearing bones break. One by one." He shivers with a grimace. "I do not ever wish to experience such horrid pain as I cannot imagine why anyone would want to be a wolf if it means pain of bones breaking each and every one."

Klaudia makes a funny face. "That is because when a man turns into wolf, their bones aren't breaking when its reshaping itself into that of a wolf. You can imagine that all those bones are stretching the human body flesh so it is why its painful as the nerves are still attach to the bone. In truth I heard that if one shifts then the pain is pretty much goes away. Though the practice would be extreme and difficult given its hard to practice when the curse only permits wolves to change on a full moon and no other night."

"Huh? You seem to know a lot about wolves Klaudia. One would say you are an expert."

"What can I say little brother. I just like wolves."

They arrived back at the village. As always business went by as usual. The men hunt, build, or fish while the women stayed at home knitting, clean or, cook. Nothing out of the ordinary.
