So last chapter, Elijah sure isn't anyone's favorite. Going to be honest, I did not intentionally write him to be bashed on and someone pointed out that what he did in the show was out of fear because of Mikael, but here I had him voluntarily aid Esther and Mikael. Keep in mind that last chapter was not because I hated Elijah and tried to paint him bad. I will say that in The Originals, after season 2 and onward is when Elijah does become a least favorite because he lost his nobility and code of honor, deciding he should become ruthless and become a hypocrite, where he takes matters into his own hands and makes it worse. Nor take responsibility for his mistakes and blames Klaus, becoming bad as him, Damon, or Mikael. Even though he has good moments in season 3-5, there are less of those and more bad.

That I won't deny.

Rebekah scrunches her face when she felt something cold splash on her cheek. Opening her eyes, her vision is hazy. She blinked a couple of times to come into fruition and notice she was staring at the ceiling of a cave. Water dripped down onto her face. Rebekah groans, rubbing her neck, feeling how stiff it was. "What happened?"

She raised her upper body, quizzical as to how she got here. Embracing her surroundings, Rebekah deduced she was in a cave. Rebekah groggily moans, trying to stand up only her body feels weak. She gets up onto her two feet only to stumble onto fours. She moved a hand to her forehead, feeling her head throb. "What has happen to my strength?" She then noticed from a corner a nearby flower that she recognized that only grew near the former White Oak tree. "Vervain?"

That was when all the pieces fell into place. Her father snapped her neck when she opposed the idea of binding her half older sister's werewolf and witch powers. Rebekah is hurt that her own father did that to her, even though she couldn't die, he truly for the first time laid a hand on her.

The onyl reason there is vervain and why she feels weaken is obvious. When she woke up her father and mother ensured her strength would be depleted so she could not save Klaudia in case she woke up and rush towards where Klaudia is wherever she is at and warn her or keep her from at least preventing the ritual.

Regardless, Rebekah mustered her will to stand up and get moving. Rebekah huffed if she had ran out of air, but she was determined. "Big sister, you always protected me...now let me do the same. Please by the All-Father and gods of Asgard let me make it to my sister on time and prevent a path of pain, hate, and anger. I beg of you."

Deep down, Rebekah carried dread, sensing that she may be already too late to save her sister.

Klaudia stumbled as she walks through the forest, looking defeated, no dead. Her eyes gone of the life that radiated in them, having list all hope and will. She stopped against a tree and fell to her knees, crying out hysterically, both hands ruffling her hair. "Why?!" She yells up at the sky. "Why do thou punish me?! What have I done to deserve a miserable and cruel life?! Why must I be weak and be a shame to my family?!"

She called out to her gods, hoping for some answer from within the heavens.

Nothing.

Only herself to linger all alone with no one to comfort her or rejuvenate her of hope. Tears ran down Klaudia's face. She dragged both hands down her face, her eyes widen, looking so broken. "Was my life curse the day I was born? Did I bring shame to father's warrior bloodline? Did my real father not wish to visit me because I was a runt? Was there no other way for my mother to protect the rest of us? Do my parents even love me? Am I a Hiccup?"
