Chapter 16

Klaudia barged into her younger brother's bedroom. "Kol! I need you!" Klaudia's face dropped to blankly staring at what she sees.

In bed and naked with the bedsheets covering his lower body is Kol, and with him are two lovely women curled up next to his body with Kol's arms wrapped around their shoulder. Kol awkwardly chuckles. "Umm sister, this is a bad time. Hehe."

Klaudia blinks and dryly looks at her brother. "Just, get changed. This is a family meeting. My bedroom." She closed the door.

Once gone and leaving her brother with his two lovers, Kol groans irritably at the moment being ruined.

Klaudia continued marching down the hall, calling out for her brother. She cursed. "Bloody hell of it all. How hard is it to find Elijah in this bloody castle."

On the way, she encounters Rebekah chatting with a young man and right away Klaudia goes trigger happy for her brow twitches.

"So, what is a lovely lady such as yourself do around often?" asked the man.

Rebekah giggled, flattered by the man's flirting. "I do not seek much attention, though I have been told I do attract the naked eye without so much as trying given I have been blessed beauty and love."

"Mmm, I can see that." Chuckles the man, reaching out to cup his hand underneath Rebekah's chin only for a strong grip to snatch his wrist and apply pressure, causing the man to cry out and fall to his knees.

Rebekah sharply turns her head and groans on seeing her older sister, then she snapped at her. "Nik!"

Klaudia forces a smile on turning to her sister. "Frankly sister you can do better." She punched the man hard enough to knock him unconscious, frustrating Rebekah.

"Are you serious?!" Rebekah fumed.

Klaudia is pleased at her work and did not care if her sister fancied herself with this mediocre man. "Very. Go meet up at my bedroom. Kol will be there and so will the rest of our brothers once I find them. Oh and umm, make sure Kol does not harm Lucien."

Rebekah is flabbergasted and confused. "Lucien? But I heard from the maids that he was being punished for sneaking into Aurora's bedroom."

Klaudia winces. Seems word has already spread of Lucien seemingly sneaking into the princess' bedroom, a stableboy that the selfish, greedy, and vile believe belongs under the dirt of their boot was trying to make move with someone they view as above filth. Klaudia feels her temper rise drastically on wishing to rip the vile tongues of these so-called noblemen and noblewomen. It seems Lucien was right about these ordinary people. They were cruel and horrid people that did not even need to be vampires. They were what defines a monster, and she and Elijah witnessed first hand at the dark work of one torturing an innocent who had been in the wrong place at the wrong time, not to mention she had betrayed him.

Ironically it made her see she was no better. A traitor just as she had once thought of her brother, who betrayed her. What a hypocrite she has been.

"I shall explain later, sister. If you do find Finn then take him with you. I need to find Elijah for this is urgent. Vampire urgent." She whispers in a hush tone.

Upon seeing Rebekah's surprised and stiff composure, that alone told her this is urgent. Rebekah quickly rushes in the direction of her older sister's bedroom.

Klaudia continued scampering around the castle till she found her brother Elijah standing by a balcony and sighed in relief. "Thank the gods I found you."
