Tezuka

Kazuya was finally gone from my life. I could live with less fear of being hunted and chased. And I know Eiji and Tezuka will protect me with their lives. I hope it doesn't come to that 'cause I don't want to lose either one of them.
After Kazuya was expelled from Seigaku, Taka invited us all to his sushi restaurant to celebrate Tezuka being back for a short time period.
"To Taka's sushi home!" Momo shouted loudly, raising his racket in the air.
"To Captain Tezuka!" Oishi shouted, raising his racket up. I grinned and raised my own and then walked with the other regulars to Taka's home.
I took a seat at the long table next to Eiji and Tezuka and then watched as the others all goofed off and screamed about wasabi sushi.
"It's really good," Fuji said as he took a bite of the wasabi.
"Demon!" Momo shouted, pointing at Fuji. I laughed to myself.
"Etsuko! We're all dying to hear what you did when you were gone," Momo said as he turned to me after he finished teasing Fuji. Everyone was immediately looking at me. I offered a smile up.
"So, what did you do?" Momo asked again.
"I went to Germany," I replied. "I met up with Tezuka, asked for advice and then he showed me around yesterday. I even got to embarrass a jakkasu in tennis." I grinned. I said it in English so that the others wouldn't understand me. Echizen laughed. Oh, he must know English then.
"Echizen, you understood her?!" Momo cried out. "How?!"
"I lived in the USA," Echizen replied with a shrug.
"Should I have said that in German instead?" I mused to myself.
"How many languages do you know?" Inui asked, probably to gather more data on me.
"Let's see. I know Japanese, English, German and French along with a li'l bit of Spanish," I said, counting them off on my fingers.
"Details!" Momo blurted, butting into Inui's question. "We want the details!"
"Well, I had a fifteen hour drive there on a train. I left at midnight with a note to my parents and Eiji. I got to Munich, Germany around morning and tried to get into Tezuka's rehabilitation center. I almost got kicked out by the register lady until I saw Tezuka. After that we walked in the garden and talked about stuff. That night I spent the night with Tezuka because I didn't have anywhere else to stay. And the next morning, I almost got kicked out by a doctor. Tezuka showed me around Munich until noon when we had to leave for the train. Tezuka showed me the tennis courts in Olympiapark and let me play which is where I beat the jakkasu in tennis," I said. "And then we got on the train and came here and then you know what happened. The end." Echizen smiled to himself again when he heard the word jakkasu.
"So you and Tezuka-senpai never did anything?" Eiji asked with a frown.
"Like what? He's my captain. He showed me around Germany and then accompanied me everywhere," I said with my own frown identical to his.
"Like perhaps . . . mkajsiouk," Eiji said, muttering the last part under his breath.
"Like what?" I repeated. "I couldn't hear you."
"Like making out," Eiji blurted, causing the other regulars to laugh uncontrollably.
"Etsuko-kun and Tezuka-senpai making out?" Momo howled. "That's in their dreams!"
"It is not!" I shouted at Momo. He ignored me and Eiji apologized to me for making a big scene and fuss and fullout embarassing me.
I sighed and then leaned on my arms, inwardly groaning as I shielded my face from view.
"Eiji, I'm going home now. I'll see you when you come back," I said as I stood up.
"Wait! Etsuko-kun, we were just joking!" Momo cried out as he latched onto my arm like a puppy. I shook him off.
"Love isn't a joke, Momo. It never should be," I said coldly.
"Tezuka!" Momo complained. "You rubbed off on her!"
"I did no such thing," Tezuka replied before standing up and walking out before me. I quickly followed him out to get away from the rumors and noise.
"So, that was weird," I said awkwardly as I walked side by side with Tezuka. He slowed down so that his pace matched mine even though he was a few inches taller than me.
"Hai," Tezuka said. "How's your ankle? Kazuya seemed to have hit it again."
"My ankle?" I said, thinking back to earlier today. Right. Kazuya had slammed her foot into it. "My ankle'll be fine. I'm a quick healer." I shrugged. I followed Tezuka wherever he was going cuz I had nowhere else to go. He finally stopped on a bridge and I paused beside him. I rested my hands on the bridge sides and stared off into the distance.
"Yesterday was nice," I said quietly. "If I ever go back to Germany again, I'll make sure to look for you."
"Yeah," Tezuka said. "It was nice." He rested a hand over my own tiny one on the bridge walls. I glanced down and then looked up at him and smiled happily before returning my gaze out into the retreating sunset.

Eiji's P.O.V

After Etsu left the sushi shop, the rest of us quickly left too dispersing. I was walking with Echizen and Momo back towards my house. We were nearly at the bridge when I saw something that stopped me in my tracks. Tezuka and Etsu were leaning on the edge of the bridge and staring into the sunlight together. My eyes shot open even wider when Tezuka placed his hand over Etsu's.
"Do you see this?" I said, nearly shouting it.
"Tezuka . . . holding hands?" Momo said with a frown.
" . . . Captain?" Echizen said, blinking a few times to clear his mind.
"Eiji, are you jealous?" Momo asked as I glared at Tezuka. I shook my head.
"No. Not jealous. As long as Etsu's happy, I'm happy," I said truthfully, shaking my head to clear my thoughts.
"As long as Etsuko-kun's happy, huh," Momo repeated. I nodded and then watched the two of them from where we were standing.

Etsuko's P.O.V

I leaned on the bridge edge on my elbows so I wouldn't tire myself out.
"Etsuko-kun," Tezuka started. I looked up at him. "Are you sure you're alright?"
I flashed a grin at him. "Now what kind of question is that? I'll be fine. I always am."
We stayed I that same position, his hand on mine, for nearly an hour until the moon had risen and the stars had came out.
"I should go, Tezuka," I said, pulling away from him. "Eiji'll be worried by now. I've been out too late. He'll be more worried than ever with my injury." Tezuka nodded, returning to his usual cold self. I jumped up and hugged him quickly before starting to walk away and waving bye. "I'll see you tomorrow!" I then started jogging back home. When I got back, Eiji was watching a movie in our room with his dog and parrot. He looked up when I dropped my stuff on the ground and then jumped on me with a giant hug. He really does love to hug me. I've never figured out why.
I laughed and then smiled up at him, ruffling his hair and hugging him back.
