Chapter 45⚠️

"Here is the bathroom. Take a quick bath and wash away the wax properly. I don't want you to dirty the clothes that I will lend you." Venus told Pearl as she guided her to the bathroom that was connected to the bedroom.

Pearl felt a little relieved now that she was no longer tied up with the ropes. However, even if she had higher chances to escape, she still didn't want to risk it. Especially since her entire body was hurting badly after being whipped and burned with wax earlier.

If she tried to run away now, she would probably get caught again anyway, and another round of torment will be waiting for her. Therefore, she decided to behave well for now and to obey Venus' commands until the major family can find them and rescue her.

Pearl walked straight into the bathroom and closed the door behind her back. She was about to lock it when she realized that there was no lock on the door.

What kind of bathroom is this? Who doesn't have a lock on their bathroom door? Venus had to be a psychopath for sure!

"Oh, another thing. Don't take too long in the bathroom. I also want to take a bath myself before going to the safe-house." Venus added, finally leaving Pearl alone in the bathroom.

Pearl rolled her eyes and let out a sigh, hearing Venus' footsteps vanishing in the distance. She was probably going to the secret room to clean up all the mess that she did.

Without wasting anymore time, Pearl hurriedly stripped from her underwears and turned on the shower to fill up the bathtub. She fixed her messy bun up, making sure it wouldn't get wet since she didn't want to wash her hair this late at night.

Once the tub was full, she slowly sunk her body into the warm water and began to wash away the wax with the soap. It took a while to fully scrub it off since the wax was stuck to her skin, and it also hurt when she tried to pill it off. She needed to be patient as she washed herself carefully.

People say that daydreaming in the shower is an actual thing, and Pearl can definitely confirm that because thoughts flowed back to her head as she tried to relax in the bathtub. She wanted to dig a hole and bury herself alive after reminding herself that she just went through a shitty day and that it wasn't over yet. She still didn't know how the hell she was able to survive all the torment she went through today.

There were countless of questions spinning inside of her head. Questions like:

'What time is it now exactly?'

'Are Ms. Kai and Paris okay?'

'Will they be able to find me?'

'How long do I have to stay here trapped with Venus?'

'Will I loose my mind if I stay here for too long?'

'Will I be able to eat anything?'

'Will I starve to death?'

'Will I die?'

And so on...

Pearl closed her eyes for a while as she continued to ponder about her life and what it has become. Maybe praying to God will help her escape from here, or at least give her some remaining hope.

As time passed, Pearl prayed to God to help her escape from this situation that she has gotten herself into. What awful sin has she committed this time that she has to go through this terrible process?
