By the time Paris went out of the bar, she had already found Pearl all by herself in the large parking lot half-filled with cars. Venus must've left a while ago. Pearl was leaning against the black vehicle that they had borrowed from the major family, waiting for Paris to come outside so that they can return to the mansion together since it was already passed midnight.

Pearl didn't ask Paris why she had taken an eternity in the bathroom. She didn't really care actually. She was too busy pondering to herself just now, and didn't think too much about it. She also knew about the relationship between her boss and Paris, and was already imagining that they were going to be talking non-stop on the phone. No one could dare to separate them.

Those two love birds are clingy and possessive with one another, and Pearl didn't mind waiting for them at all. She is happy for their happiness, and wishes the best for their relationship. To be frank, they could've talked longer than that and it wouldn't have bothered her a single bit.

Isn't she too benevolent sometimes?

Pearl's kindness goes beyond average. She is one of a kind. Always putting others before herself. It was hard to believe that people like her still exist even today. Such a pure hearted woman. She doesn't deserve to live in this cruel world. Having a friend like her is like having good fortune by your side.

Paris didn't mentioned anything regarding to Venus, and just pretended to know nothing. The last thing she wanted right now was to make Pearl suspicious or make her get the wrong idea. This was all about finding the truth behind the death of her parents, and she didn't want anyone to know about the secret plan she had with Venus. This needed to be concealed away from others or else things will lead to a catastrophe.

Things are always unexpected in this dark mafia world. There will be times where it will be better to remain silent to avoid problems to arise. Even if that means that you will have to lie with no other choice to protect others.

Paris wanted to avoid keeping secrets away from Pearl, but now there was no other choice for her left. It was better to keep things this way for the meantime. 'I'm sorry, Pearl. You will sooner or later find out about this yourself. I'm sure that you will understand the situation. You have always trusted me. So, please believe in me once again for this time.' Paris was lost in her own thoughts for a while before realizing something.

She noticed how Pearl was smiling to herself just now. It seemed like she was in a better mood after reuniting with Venus. That was a good sign, thank goodness. It has been a while since Paris has seen this beaming expression on Pearl's face. It was a relief to see her a little more cheerful again. Bringing Venus here was not a bad idea after all.

'Hmm, those two really had something going on.' Paris thought to herself, confirming all the doubts she had about them. Her friend had really fallen for the cousin of the mafia boss.

This will for sure bring trouble in the future between the two families. Pearl will have to make a decision eventually. Either staying with the major family, or choosing the minor family to stay by Venus' side. This was a difficult choice to make. Paris could only wish for the best for Pearl. Things will definitely not get any easier after this, but falling in love was never meant to be a crime. Therefore, let's just leave things how they are for now.

They both got inside of the car and drove back to the mansion, arriving around 2 am. It was already too late, and the two headed directly to their rooms to go to sleep. Pearl went to the dorm, and Paris went to Kai's bedroom as usual.
