"Hey, Parker. I'm going to go on a date with Kai today. Is that okay with you? Will you be alright staying here alone?" Paris told her brother as she entered his new bedroom while holding Kai's hand.

Both Kai and Paris were already dressed up to go out. They were going to watch a movie together at the theater but before leaving they wanted to make sure to tell Parker about it. Paris was still not used to having Parker around in the mansion and she didn't want to leave him without asking him first if he was fine staying alone with the bodyguards.

Parker was currently playing a game on his cellphone while laying on the large bed. He was really concentrated on what he was doing and wasn't really paying attention to his sister who just entered the bedroom with her girlfriend. "Yeah, it's fine." He answered thoughtlessly while tapping the screen of his phone repeatedly.

"Are you sure?" Paris asked him again, wanting to be certain.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Parker replied while nodding his head several times.

"Okay, if you say so. We will be leaving then." Paris opened the door of the bedroom once again and was about to head out, but Kai halted their steps and she turned back around to face Parker.

"Oh, before we go, I forgot to tell you something Parker." Kai rested her free hand at the side of her hip before continuing, "My younger brother has come to visit. He is having a meeting with father today. I wanted to introduce him to you, but he hasn't left father's office yet, and I don't know how long they will take. I think I won't be able to introduce you guys, but maybe you'll stumble with him later and can get to meet him."

There was a short moment of silence between them. Kai saw that Parker was still busy playing on his phone and had no intentions of responding back. Thus, she proceeded to speak again, "I don't know if you know this, but my brother was the one who helped you get out of the warehouse while you were unconscious. That's why I want you guys to meet. I think you two might get along."

Parker finally lifted his head to stare at Kai, paying full attention to her now after what she mentioned. He was not expecting to hear that last part about her younger brother and he actually got a little curious. "He was the one who saved me?" He asked again while sitting up from the bed, putting his phone down beside him.

"Yeah, he did. Which is quite strange because he doesn't like getting involved with our family issues. When he turned eighteen last year, he moved out to live on his own, and that's why he is usually never seen around here. However, that day he really wanted to go help on the mission. And of course, I was not going to reject him because we really needed that extra help." Kai explained everything briefly and added, "I even thought for a moment that you guys knew each other already since you go to the same university as him. Yet, when I asked him about it he said that he didn't know you, but that he had seen you before on campus."

Parker was trying to process everything that Kai was telling him. Could it be true that he knew of Kai's younger brother from before? If so, then who could it possibly be? He hasn't met that many people at the university, and he also doesn't have friends that he could think of. "Could you tell me his name? Maybe I have heard of him before."

"His name is Kyle." Kai answered.

Wait, what?

That's when the dead silence filled the room again as Parker's heart sunk, leaving him in a state of shock after hearing this specific name being said.

Kyle?

No, that couldn't be.

There's so many people named Kyle in this world. It couldn't be the same Kyle that Parker knew, right?
