Chapter 15: Real Feel

Kounoa immediately arrived at Phoburn City with her bodyguards. They made it to Fudge's house. Half of the dog's house was gone.

No! Damn it! Fudge, please be okay! Kounoa ran over to what Raiser left of the house. She tried to find any sign of Fudge.

She dug through the mess and rubble around the area. "Fudge! Call out to me! Please!" She yelled.

Her bodyguards helped looked for Fudge, but Kounoa found the dog already.

No, no, no, no! Kounoa covered her maw as she saw the sight behind the couch. Half of Fudge's head and body were missing. She noticed a bloody envelope impaled into what Raiser left of the dog's chest.

Kounoa shakily took out the envelope and ripped it open to read another letter from Raiser.

"He wasn't all that, anyway. Just another prop in life."

The shiba woman balled her paw into a fist. Her claws unsheathed. That dirty bastard... I'll kill him! Her claws dug into her flesh and made her paw bleed.

Her bodyguards immediately noticed her getting angry. Taida dashed over to Kounoa and her paws glowed yellow. The rabbit woman placed her paws on Kounoa's back.

Kounoa backhanded Taida and sent her flying into a building nearby. "Get off of me!" She growled.

"Bou! Restrain her as much as possible until Taida can come back!" Yoku yelled.

Bou enlarged her hand and stretched her arm out to Kounoa. She grabbed the shiba woman and safely encased her. Kounoa growled and her fur frizzed up. The iris in her eye changed from brown to red. Her teeth got sharper.

I don't know what's happening... All I feel is rage. Kounoa tried getting out of Bou's hands.

Taida recovered from the building. The world around the rabbit woman slowed as she ran over to Bou and slipped into her hands. She placed her rabbit paws on Kounoa's head and put her to sleep. The world returned to its normal speed. "I got her to sleep, Bou!"

Bou uncovered the two and set Taida on the ground. The shark's hands went back to normal as she brought Kounoa over to herself. Kounoa returned to normal as well.

"What the hell do we do?!" Kiiroibara panicked. "This is terrible!"

"Kiiroibara, sweetie. Calm down. Everything's fine!" Saboten tried reassuring her.

Suguru shook his head. "It is not fine, Saboten. The seal that's on Kounoa is now breaking. We are close to doom as we speak!"

Yoku paced around while rubbing his head. "It's too early for it to break! We still have many years left!"

Kiiroibara walked up to Yoku and grabbed his arm. "Yoku. What do we do? The one who put the seal on her isn't alive! We need a plan!"

Yoku pulled his arm away from Kiiroibara. "We just need to take down Raiser and prevent the seal from breaking more. That's it-"

"Ugh... What happened? Did I fall asleep?" Kounoa yawned.

Her bodyguards fell silent, but Saboten spoke up a few heartbeats after. "You passed out from shock, Kounoa."

"Yeah. Sorry for your loss, Kounoa." Bou replied and set the shiba down.

Yoku ran over to Kounoa and pulled her into a tight hug. Kounoa embraced the hug. She broke out of it after a while. "Raiser needs to pay for what he has done. We're stopping him now."

The sound of someone clapping nearby. Kounoa and her bodyguards turned to the clapping. It was Raiser. The group got into battle stances. Some of them summoned weapons.

They laughed. "I applaud you for stopping Kounoa's true rage!"

"My true what?" Kounoa got confused.

Taida instantaneously appeared in front of Raiser and reached her paws to his head. Raiser smirked and grabbed the rabbit woman by the throat. They slammed her into the ground and left her in a deep crater.

"Taida!" Kounoa yelled. She almost ran over to Raiser, but Yoku grabbed her shoulder. The shiba looked at Yoku with desperate eyes.

Yoku let go of Kounoa's shoulder. "Don't worry. I got this. Don't move a damn muscle." Yoku summoned dual knives.

The opossum dashed over to Raiser, yelling as he slashed at them. Raiser avoided each of Yoku's attacks before ramming their boot into his chest to knock him back. Kiiroibara gets closer and tried focusing on Raiser to get an advantage on him. Yoku charged at Raiser again, but they disappeared.

"Where the hell...?" Kiiroibara's eyes darted around the area.

Raiser appeared behind Kiiroibara and pulled out a pistol. "Don't try any ridiculous shit on me!" They said before shooting her in the back with a dark energy blast.

Kiiroibara didn't have any time to react. She crashed into a building with a colossal explosion coming from it.

Kounoa's paws shook. "Kiiroibara!"

Bou and Saboten got in front of Kounoa and guarded her. Saboten's whip formed in her hands. Suguru stepped up in front of the women. He pressed his paw against his chest. A golden robotic-like armor formed from his chest and covered his body.

Raiser looked at Suguru. "None of you will defeat me! I will get what I want from my love!" They laughed.

Yoku dashed at high speeds to Raiser and threw his knives at them. More knives appeared in the opossum's hands as he threw them after the first knives. "Can you shut the hell up already?!"

Raiser hopped around and avoided Yoku's knives. "They're hiding the truth from you, Kounoa! They've lied to you your entire life!"

I don't know what that psychopath is talking about. Kounoa watched as Yoku fought for her. Though, I'll let my bodyguards fight for me! I believe in them!

Yoku tossed a knife in the air and a burst of dark energy came from him when the knife fell down. The knife launched over at Raiser and pierced the helmet they wore. The helmet cracked and split in half. It revealed a fox man with a smug look on his face.

Kounoa's bodyguards immediately recognized his face.

Yoku's eyes widened. "There's no way you're..."

Raiser nodded. "You got it. I'm the second in the command for Kounoa's father! Or was until he-"

Suguru charged at Raiser and let out a groundbreaking roar towards him. The lion's roar shook the earth as the sound wave came close to Raiser. The fox avoided the sound wave and shot energy blasts at Suguru.

A shield formed from the armor on the lion's arm. He easily blocked the shots. "You'll have to do better than that, Raiser!" He roared proudly.

Yoku ran up and threw more knives at Raiser. He didn't let up on the fox. Raiser avoided the knives and Suguru's roars.

Kounoa did nothing but watch her bodyguards fight for her. Is what Raiser saying true? Should I fight? I'm so confused... Thoughts rushed through the shiba woman's mind. Who the hell is this guy?!

I thought I lost my father in a war!
