Chapter 18: Limitless

Kounoa stopped attacking. She kneeled where she stood and held her chest in pain. Raiser gained a confused look on his face. "Kounoa, my love! What the hell are you doing? Keep attacking!" The fox man yelled.

The shiba's aura changed from crimson to pink. "I-I... I won't!" Kounoa struggled to get her words out.

Kounoa's change surprised Yoku and Raiser. Her red iris shifted to pink. The shiba woman stood up straight and gazed at Raiser after fighting through the pain. Raiser growled to himself and pointed his staff at her. "I'll just make you mine again!"

Kounoa instantly appeared in front of Raiser and jabbed him in the face. The fox flew into a building and crashed through it. "I'll never be yours, Raiser. This is all over."

The shiba woman back flipped and landed next to Yoku. Yoku stared at Kounoa with wide eyes. Kounoa smiled and hogged the opossum. "I forgive you and the rest of the sins for everything! Even though you all lied to me for a long while, but that's okay! Sort of!"

Yoku still had tears in his eyes. He hesitated for a few seconds before accepting the hug with Kounoa. The tears fell down his face. Their hug didn't last long, as Raiser got out of the rubble. The two released themselves from the hug and turned to Raiser.

"It's time to put an end to this, Yoku." Kounoa spoke to her sin. The shiba woman snapped her fingers and a pink aura appeared around Yoku.

The same aura emerged around the rest of the sins. Bou, Saboten, and Suguru stood behind Kounoa. Taida and Kiiroibara's wounds healed as they both got up and appeared behind the shiba.

Raiser gave a confused, and almost scared, look. "E-Enough of this! You're all under me! I'm The Raiser, Soul Overseer! I shall not lose to Shion's underlings and sexy daughter!" The fox shouted as the crystal ball on his staff turned black.

The fox man jabbed his staff in the ground and discharged a dark pulse of energy towards Kounoa and her sins. Kounoa dragged her paw across the air and sent her own pulse of energy to clash with Raiser's. The pink energy erased the dark energy completely.

Raiser's staff transformed into dual pistols and spastically shot at them. "No! I'm stronger than you all! Your souls are mine!"

Suguru jumped in front of his friends and put his arm forward. An enormous gold shield formed from the armor on his arm. It blocked the shots from Raiser's pistols.

Raiser kept shooting. "This isn't how this is supposed to go! This isn't what Ophin planned for me! I'm supposed to have the advantage!" The fox man panicked as his pistols changed back into his staff.

Suguru's shield deconstructs and turned back into the plates on the armor from his arm. Golden mech-like wings sprouted from his back armor and hew flew behind Kounoa and the rest of the sins. He hovered behind them as he waited for his next command.

Kounoa looked at her group before she turned to Raiser. She pointed at the fox man. "Take down Raiser!"

Her sins charged at Raiser and attacked him from different angles. Yoku charged ahead and slashed Raiser in multiple areas with his knives, summoning more and jabbing them into his limbs. The opossum then launched Raiser back with a dark energy burst. He got a final knife jabbed in his chest before he flew back.

Bou grabbed Raiser with a giant hand and slammed him into the ground multiple times. She smirked before slapping him in the air and then slapping him down with her other giant hand. The shark created a crater with Raiser.

Saboten strutted up to Raiser, looking down at him while he was in the crater. "If it makes you feel better, I think you're pretty cute!~" The goat pulled her whip out and lashed Raiser endlessly.

The goat kept going until her whip split into what seemed like one hundred more on the handle. She gave him one last lash that caused him to yell in pain. "Get him, girls!~" Saboten called out as she back flipped away from the fox.

Taida instantly made it over to the crater with Kiiroibara. Kiiroibara stood Raiser up and punched him many times. Blood splattered out of his face as he got knocked around by the tanuki woman. She kicked him in the crotch and then slammed him to the ground.

Kiiroibara focused on him for a second before summoning the same pistol he had before. "This is for throwing me into a fucking building!" The tanuki woman shot dark energy shots into his shoulders. The gun disappeared soon after.

Heartbeats passed, and the world slowed down. Taida walked up to Raiser and watched as he couldn't react. "You deserve everything coming to you, Raiser. You took many innocent lives away."

At the speed of light, Taida instantaneously struck Raiser with a barrage of punches. She didn't stop her assault on the fox for another five minutes. When she stopped, a ton of blood slowly flew from Raiser. Taida walked behind Raiser and tapped the back of his skull before speeding over to Kiiroibara.

The rabbit woman grabbed Kiiroibara and sped away with her as the world returned to its normal speed. Blood nearly erupted from Raiser as he fell over on his back. The fox man felt drowsy.

Suguru flew into the air and cannons formed around both his arms. "This happens when you mess with us, Raiser!" The lion shot a storm of rockets at Raiser.

The rockets exploded and Raiser yelled as the impact created a deeper crater for him to lie in. "I have finished you! I am the best alchemist in the world!" Suguru cheered.

Kounoa walked over to the crater. She looked into it. The shiba woman moved the hair in front of her eye. Her pupil revealed to be a bright pink flower. "I forgave my sins. But I can't forgive you, Raiser."

Kounoa looked at her paw and made it into a fist. Her pink aura shifted into the crimson one. Her fur frizzed up and her claws got sharper. The flower pupil in her eye turned into a crimson flame. "Show him no mercy, my sins."

The pink aura around the sins changed into the same crimson aura Kounoa had. They grouped around Raiser and viciously attacked him. The sins tore his limbs off and Yoku even created a sword and jabbed it into his body. Yoku drug the sword down and cut open his chest and stomach. He let out a growl afterwards.

Kounoa hopped into the crater and picked up the limbless fox. She stared at his soulless eyes before punching a hole through his head. The shiba woman smirked as she pulled her paw out and dropped his body. She hopped out of the crater.

After the sins tore into him, the fox man nearly died. Suguru let out a sinister roar as he flew into the air once more. He put his arms together and the armor around his arms darkened as they formed a giant cannon. "Tell the devil the best alchemist in the universe killed you!"

The cannon glowed with a crimson light. A beam shot out of it and struck Raiser. The beam disintegrated what they left of Raiser. Kounoa's aura dissolved after Suguru's attack.

Suguru laughed maniacally as he landed by the crater. He calmed down as the aura disappeared.

The crimson aura left the sins. Kounoa looked around. There's nothing but destruction, sadness, and the remains of a war... Kounoa snapped her fingers and her sins came to her. She turned to them and gave a pained smile. "You all did excellent! But we'll... have to leave Phoburn City now... We can't bring the lost lives back, but we can help repair as much as we can."

Yoku gave Kounoa a thumbs up and Taida nodded in response.

Suguru smiled. "We'll help everyone we can, Kounoa!"

"Yeah, and I'll have to say bye to my fashion design dreams." Kiiroibara groaned.

"Don't worry, Kii! I'm sure you can continue that once we find a new place to stay!" The goat smiled.

Bou patted Kiiroibara's head. "Yeah. Don't be so down about it. We'll even find some good food along the way." The shark woman smirked and licked her lips at the thought of food.
