Chapter Thirty-Six

Lola

I've been on edge since seeing that nationwide man hunt announcement on Tv, I haven't let Marissa go anywhere.

"I'm bored" Marissa tells me.

I sigh

"Marissa, the whole nation is looking for you right now. I'd rather you be bored than in prison" I tell her.

"But it's not like I did it for no reason Lola, pawpaw was touching m-"

"I know Marissa but sadly in the eyes of the law, that's not a good enough reason to murder someone" I tell her.

I hate this for her so much but all I can do is try my best to keep her safe...

"You want to go hang out with China? Her house has a mini game room with air hockey, pac man, a wii sports console and more stuff" I tell Marissa

Her eyes widen and she nods.

"Okay, let me call China and ask her but I'm sure she won't mind" I tell Marissa as I grab my phone to call China

China

"Hey boo, Hey Julia" I speak to Lola and her friend as I let them into the house.

"Can I go to the game room?" Julia asks excitedly.

"Yeah.. go ahead. It's right through that side door" I tell her pointing the door out.

She runs towards the door...I've never seen somebody so excited about a game room..

"Thank you" Lola tells me while running her hand through her hair.

"You're welcome, she sure seems excited about the game room" I tell Lola as we sit on the living room couch.

Lola sighs before running her hand through her hair again like she's stressed.

"You okay?" I ask her.

"My sister is wanted for murder" Lola blurts out confusing me.

"Who's your sister? Who did she murder?" I ask confused.

"Marissa, she's wanted for murdering our granddad" Lola says in tears.

"Marissa?... the girl from the news is your sister?" I ask in shock.

She nods

"Oh my.. Have you talked to her?" I ask Lola as I rub her back trying to comfort her.

"Julia is Marissa" Lola tells me.

I gasp in shock....

Red

"Damn he bumping like that?" Brent asks me as I tell him about the fight Tas had with the three NG's

"Hell yeah, that lil nigga looked like Mike Tyson out there" I answer with a chuckle.

Brent laughs.

We're sitting outside of Magics house scoping the scene. We watch as Magic pulls into his driveway and gets out of his truck.

"I like that truck. I might get me one" I tell Brent while looking at Magics 2022 Ford F-150 with rims on it.

"That's the nigga China was fucking with?" Brent asks making me look at him because of how he said it.

"Why you saying it like that?" I ask him "She wasn't fucking with that nigga, they were just friends" I tell him squinting my eyes at him.
