Chapter Fifty-Nine

Red

Waking up, I stand up and stretch my body.

I look at China who's still asleep in the bed with Dj next to her wide awake and pulling at her hair.

I chuckle

"Come on daddy man" I tell Dj while picking him up.

China instantly wakes up once Dj is moved.

Mother instincts I guess...

She looks at Dj and I with a smile.

My baby wake up beautiful..

"Good Morning" I tell her with a smile.

"Good Morning" She replies

I was up all night thinking about what she said yesterday about leaving me if I hit her again..

The thought of a life without China doesn't sit right with me so I'm on my best behavior.

"Our weddings tomorrow" China squeals causing me to chuckle.

"I know, it's gone be perfect" I tell her nodding.

There's a hard knock at our front door that damn near echos through the house...

"Who's that?" China asks furring her eyebrows.

"Hold Dj while I go check" I tell her, handing her Dj.

She nods.

Grabbing one of my guns from the dresser, I walk downstairs to open the door.

Looking through the peep hole with my gun in hand, I see three police officers..

"The fuck?" I say to myself, putting my gun into the fridge before opening the door.

"Daniel Wright?" The skinny officer with the giant mustache asks.

I nod

"You're under arrest for the distribution of narcotics" He speaks causing me to furr my eyebrows.

"Hold on-" He cuts me off.

"Put your hands behind your back!" He demands, grabbing my arm.

My first thought is to jaw jack his ass but I decide against it, allowing him to put the cuffs on.

"Red, what's going on?" China runs down the stairs in a panic.

"It's okay baby" I tell her as they read me my rights.

"Red, it's not okay. Our wedding is tomorrow, why are you in handcuffs?" China cries causing my heart to break.

"Call my lawyer, it's gone be okay baby" I tell China as they take me to the police car.

News teams and camera flashes start coming out of nowhere.

"Daniel, any words?"
