"I have been talking to you for the past hour Aspen," mom waves her hands in front of me, "where have you been?"

From the moment I arrived till now, mom wouldn't stop pestering me as she sits me down on the couch and touches my shoulders, but the daze I am in is because of him.

Because of Alaska, I get to make my dream come true. I get to be around werewolves and interact with them. But especially not with his brother or father. They can eat my head at any time.

I can't stop turning the wheels in my brain when it comes to him, it's like I am entranced by the way he looks at me, I can still feel his touch when he brushed my hair, my fingertips tingle as a goofy smile begins to form on my lips.

"Holland, you better come here, if you gave Aspen drugs, I'm going to kill you," mom shouts over to Holland, that emerges out of the kitchen innocently. "Look at her, she's smiling like a drug addict." She exclaims as Holland takes a clear look at me.

He, then, looks at mom and shrugs. "Maybe she fell in love or something."

Definitely, not maybe.

"She won't answer me, do something." Mom tells Holland and he awkwardly crouches in front of me, taking both of my hands in his.

"Asp, is everything alright?"

I snap out of it, I wouldn't want my family to worry. "I'm just peachy, I went for a walk and came back, anyways, the weather is nice right?"

They get silent, both of them raising their eyebrows at me.

"Since when do you talk about anything aside from werewolves?" Holland retorts, looking back at mom, "yes, you're right ma, she's not okay."

I roll my eyes at both of them and stand up.

"Gotta go sleep, school tomorrow." I remind them as I hop excitedly up the stairs.

After I change and turn off the lights in my silk Pjs, I snuggle into my soft bed, turning to gaze out my small balcony where the stars beam at me.

I close my eyes and smile softly when I hear his growls, my favorite melodies.

7AM

I stumble out of the bed and look at my reflection, my small bob hangs lamely on the nape of my neck and my baby hairs are flying in opposite directions, but I don't waste time as I hurry to the bathroom to get ready earlier so I can meet up with Alaska.

Once I settle with everything, I make sure to grab another granola for Alaska in case he doesn't eat breakfast. I attempt to pass through the kitchen to ignore my mom's lectures with my tight grasp around my newest book: Primordials. They weren't able to see the skull, I hid it in my drawer and locked it before mom called me yesterday for inspection.

"Why so soon?" Holland guards me with one of his best detective looks, his eyes squinting at me as he rubs his chin. He's dressed in dark washed jeans and a casual white shirt.

"Just need to return this book to the library." I flush, my lying abilities are weak but Holland lets me go once he sees the pancakes mom made for him. I take it as an opportunity to leave before mom joins Holland.

Breathing in the fresh, chilly air. I walk comfortably and I halt to see a wolf on the other side. It's him, why isn't he coming to me?

I frown as I creep closer and find out that this isn't Alaska, it's another large black wolf with his canines out as his tongue hangs, it stares at me with hunger. I assess his thick fur and his size, we just keep facing each other at a good distance, he's a Canis lycaon from what I can see when he turns away into the woods.

Following the trail, I clutch my bag as I delve deep into the woods, but there isn't any sign of him, nobody ever comes to these woods. Some even say it's dangerous but it doesn't scare me, a part of me is comfortable knowing that Alaska is here to protect me.

My eyes capture distant figures and I walk faster only to watch a certain tall, pale figure and a girl with shiny silver hair and a well-built hourglass figure, they're talking animatedly like they are planning something. I get a peak behind the oak tree, it's Alaska and some girl. The silent forest helps me hear much clearer as I got a bit behind for them not to hear me.

"It's been a long time, where are you headed?" Alaska questions her.

"I have some wolves to kill, but I'm going to talk to my dad about the idea you mentioned and we can meet later." She flips her hair and Alaska backs off only for her to shift into her multi-colored wolf, running through the distance.

My cheeks brighten when he gazes in my direction, he knows that I'm here. No point in hiding, I gnaw on my lower lip as I step up to him. He lets out a small smirk as he appears in front of me in a second.

"Hey there, little creeper." My cheeks warm up as butterflies punches me in the stomach, he just looks so good with his black button-up and his washed jeans.

"Hey," I swiftly place a tendril behind my ear, my cheeks about to explode. "Have you talked to your dad about my plan to help?"

"Yes, and they agreed to test it out tonight." He smiles at me, showing his pearly whites, the blue orbs shining in his eyes like precious jewels under the morning light.

"Who's that girl then?" I blurt out the question due to word vomit. I literally hit myself internally because I just sounded like a jealous girlfriend.

Way to go, Asp.

He tilts his head, giving me the wolfish smile that makes my heart dip.

"She's the daughter of a pack we know, the–"

"Moon pack. each member there have silver hair and are well-built because they kill and eat their own kind."

"Yep. Pretty much," he smirks as he continues, "I'm going to have to get used to you finishing my sentences."

"Are you quitting school?" I ask him curiously.

"No, it's a part of the plan that I'm going to tell you about at night. But you're gonna have to meet my brother and father properly." He grimaces at the thought.

"Lucky me." I retort and he looks at me as he captures my hand and places his fingers in between mine.

"I won't let anything hurt you, you know that right?" he comforts and I become giddy again.

"Yea, same here." I reply like the dork I am. I hear my favorite laugh again and I get happy on the inside when I squeeze his hand.

We stop on the parking lot that's next to my house, a black BMW just stands there and I gape at it. It's the newest model with a large hood and an open roof with a shiny surface around. I glance back at Alaska and he's already looking at me.

"A favor from my lovely brother." He comments before we get into the car for school.

I gaze out of the window and he's there again. The black wolf.
