Alaska

I can't move, the courageous girl just walks out and I can sense the four wolves outside. I try to inhale as much oxygen as I can to move myself, but it gets harder to push my legs down the bed. I feel entrapped, so I mind link the only person that can help.

Vil.

He has a link to every werewolf chain, he's basically a righteous judge for all werewolves, and I can't depend on my brother for shit. He despises humans and has the superpower to strengthen wolves against their kind.

We can't risk Holland's head by our alliances. Castle explains and I agree with him.

Sweat drips down to my chin when I attempt to get out, but to no avail. I can feel Vil's incoming entry for the rebellious Canis Rufus to put them in their place. I focus all my energy to my limbs and I manage to stand up, sharp tingles heighten on my spinal cord, but I take deep breaths and limp towards the fighting scene.

Aspen is next to Holland as she flails her arms in attempts to protect her brother, the last thing we need is for her brother to know about us. I walk over to them, their eyes big and wide in shock, mostly because I am covered in sweat from my body heat within the healing process the doctor told me about earlier. Vil reads my mind and nods at me in his human form, I stagger towards Holland and crack his neck into a coma before he can fight me.

That should give us time to return him back. Castle says.

The members of Vezcs pack are tantalizing as they scan the body that lays out in front of them with their steel gaze.

The first, named Ebonclaw, is a beast of inky fur and blazing yellow eyes that pierce the darkness like twin embers. His teeth, as sharp as obsidian shards, gleam with brutality.

Next is Sablefury, a towering brute with fur like a stormy night sky. His growl reverberates through the trees, a harbinger of chaos. His eyes are a cold, unfeeling gray, reflecting a heart as merciless as the winter's bite.

The third is Thornbite, a sleek, silver-coated specter with eyes that glint like frost-covered steel. She moves with a predatory grace, her very presence evoking a chilling sense of inevitable doom. Her claws, like razor-sharp daggers, are ready to rend flesh from bone.

Lastly, there is Ironfang, whose massive frame and coal-black fur make him a formidable sight. His roar is a thunderclap, his gaze a steel trap. Every step he takes seems to reverberate with a promise of unyielding force, his fangs capable of crushing any who dare to challenge him.

They aren't exactly enemies, but they are not our allies either. The treaty is broken now, which means that they are professional liars when it comes down to what they want. It seems like they get news that we have humans by our side and it's something they hate.

Aspen's legs shakes in terror and she falls on her knees, her hands on her lap as her lips tremble, she almost tears up and she meets my eyes, seeking for comfort.

"Shift." It's an order that comes out of Vil's mouth. Their pack is a royalty and there is no disobeying in their territory.

They all shift in their clothes, the girl can sense the imprint between me and Aspen, the thornbite under her second name, Aira, inspects me with fascination when her other brothers talk to Vil.

"You know the rules, Alaska." Ironfang, under the name Kaplin, threatens me with his glistening black eyes.

"What are you trying to achieve here?" Sablefury, under the human name — Skylar — strides towards me with a tilted head full of curiosity.

I have enough information about them from dad back when there used to be a treaty between us. The Vezca Pack is a human blood and bones lover, they lust after it but they can't have it, they just wait for an opportunity. I can feel Ebonclaw, known as Bren, looking at Aspen like lunch as his mouth parts in want. I growl at him and he snaps out of it with a smirk on his oval chiseled face.

"She's my soulmate, my wolf chose her and you know that I don't have a choice in who I imprint on." I use that as an excuse. I can feel myself running out of fuel in my body. Humans are really weak.

That's why you got me to heal you. My fierce wolf reminds me.

I purposely leave out the part where we plan to take on two packs at once: The Desels from their kind and the Canis Lycaon which are the Bane Pack. Our surprise attack will increase our change for vengeance and dad will get what he wants after all.

Skylar raises an eyebrow with a deep scowl on his heart shaped face. "You can live your love life outside of the woods, you don't have to bring her here." She retaliates.

Bren creeps up on Aspen when she tries to lift her brother, but Vil takes action as he clasps the back of his shirt and takes him to the side of the cabin.

"Yes, there must be another reason why you let her enter our territories." Kaplin dictates.

"Alpha Gideon told you about the golden rules. No human is allowed to enter and you bring two of them." Aira chides with bare teeth and a powerful scorn. They try to corner me into telling the truth, but as always, Vil is here to save the day.

"He didn't bring them both, the girl just wanted to see her mate because he got injured with a silver arrow. The girl's brother just followed without an invite." Vil calmly says with arms crossed.

They look at him then look at me, then turn to gaze at the terrified girl with her brother, which got her even more creeped out with insane neon eyes and their intense looks on their faces like they are about to devour her.

"Next time we won't be so patient." Kaplin warns before the four figures disappear within the woods.

I told you so. Allen mind links to me and I hold back my eye roll.

"Thank you, Vil." I cough out, my body slumps slightly from the exertions of my movements.

He deserves even more than that, but he just nods before he jumps on the trees at a faster pace to get back to his pack.

I limp over to the shaken girl in front of me, bits of leaves get stuck on her silky hair and I remove some for her, she seems like she overcame a panic attack as she sobs her heart out and I hug her tight to soothe her terrors.

My eyes trail the shadows of the other packs, they stare at Aspen in my arms and it's enough for me to realize that I just piqued their interest and hunger.
