Chapter 11: Childe

Note: Sorry for the late update qwp School got me roughed up and I just got to play the game again. Tartaglia came home :D

Everyone took pictures here on top of Yujing Terrace. The view is breathtaking. The sun's position, the gentle wind and the sky; everything's perfect. Childe stayed to take their pictures and their currently eating snacks. Ginger is sitting on Lumine's lap and Aether was just watching her having a good time.

Childe sat beside her. Aether gave a threatening look but he calmed down a bit when he just smiled at him. "Seems like Ginger's really having fun with you."

Lumine giggled and petted the attention-hungry cat. "Yeah, he doesn't wanna get off of me." She smiled at the cat. Her smiles are so gentle and warm that it could make a person feel warm from the cold of Snezhnaya, Childe's homeland.

Lumine handed the cat to him and he petted it. Ginger is such a snuggle bug. "So, you really like cats?" Lumine asked. "Mhm. I love cats so much that I ended up fostering a lot." Childe smiled at her. She smiled back at him. "Working with cats sure is a good job."

Venti looked at Lumine. "Aw man. No wonder I feel so itchy and- achoo!..." Venti distanced himself from the group.

"Oh, it's just a hobby of mine. I have..." Childe cleared himself up. "He's a battle-hungry idiot." Aether said. Lumine looked confused. She looked at Childe, who's scratching his head and giggling. "I'm actually a singer myself."

"Now that makes sense. No wonder I've heard his name somewhere before... Maybe that's why I found him familiar?.."

"But I'm not much of a hotshot like your brother."

"He's also a martial artist who fights in an underground martial arts competition." Heizou further explained.

"This kind looking guy?!?!" Lumine can't believe what she heard.

"I-it's illegal, right?" Lumine hugged Ginger and the cat purred on her. "Obviously. You know about Visions, right Lumine? You've read it from books before and we happen to have Visions, too." Heizou pointed at his glowing teal Vision. Anemo.

"It's illegal to use Visions in a martial arts match because it can cause serious injuries. And even without using elemental powers, the Vision holder is still more powerful than a normal person. That's why Vision holders are prohibited in joining martial arts competitions. The underground competitions that happens to every possible nation, let's the competitors use them. Which is strictly against the law." Heizou further explained.

"That guy injured plenty. He's very strong. He's known as Tartaglia in the underground. He's in an organization under the Tsaritsa's name." Aether looked at him dead in the eye.

"Comrade, don't tempt me to fight with you, especially in front of your sister here." Childe's gaze looked so cold. Lumine just noticed now that his eyes are as dead cold as the lands of Snezhnaya. It's so... dead and empty.

"Well, I can use a little warm up. What happened a while ago is nothing compared to now." Childe stretched up. "Let's go somewhere, then. Let's see who's stronger this time." 

Aether smirked "I'll make sure to beat you up good without a scratch." That menacing aura on Childe subsided and the competitive side of his started to burn. Xiao patted on the head Lumine. "Don't worry, Lumine. Idiots don't die easily, they say."

"I think you mean a bad weed." Heizou corrected him. "Hmph, whatever." Xiao may seem mean but he's not that bad at all. He is very kind but doesn't wanna admit it.

"What's the term for it in Inazuma?... Tsundere?" Lumine taught to herself.

"This place is huge! A-and full of Mora!!" Paimon looked around in amazement. Lumine looked around at the place. "It really is huge... And sort of familiar."
