Ruhi's POV....

Ruhan is really mysterious, and I haven't figured him out yet. But he's genuinely kind, to me I mean to all of us actually. He even introduced us to more of his friends, who turned out to be super nice and friendly.

And after that...?
Well, Ruhan came up to me and asked if I wanted to dance. I was a bit unsure, but he managed to persuade me. While we were dancing, I couldn't help but notice someone looking pretty jealous from the sidelines. Turns out, it was none other than Sharlin.

The soft melody of a soothing tune replaced the loud music that had filled the room earlier. Dim, ambient lighting bathed the area in a warm glow, making the air feel calmer—almost intimate. Ruhan extended his hand toward me with a reassuring smile.

"Shall we?"

Ruhan asked, his tone calm yet inviting.

I hesitated for a moment. The memory of feeling out of place among the lively crowd still lingered, but his steady gaze had a strange pull. Before I realized it, my hand slipped into his, and we moved to the dance floor.

As we swayed gently, the atmosphere felt lighter, far removed from the chaos of the party. For the first time that evening, I felt I could breathe.

Ruhan's POV...

She seemed hesitant, her guarded demeanor masking the vulnerability beneath. It wasn’t easy to get her to relax, I could tell. As we danced, I decided to keep the conversation simple, hoping to draw her out of her shell.

"So," I began, glancing at her cautiously.

"Are you feeling comfortable now?"

She offered a small smile, her eyes briefly meeting mine.

"A little bit," she replied softly.

Her voice carried a faint edge of unease, as though she was still grappling with being here. I wanted her to feel at ease, but I also couldn’t force it.

"Alright, just a little bit!" I said with a teasing lilt, hoping to lighten the mood.

"Have you attended many parties before?"

"Not recently," she admitted, her gaze distant. "It’s been quite a while."

I nodded, sensing there was more she wasn’t saying.

Ruhi's POV...

It was strange talking to him like this, away from the chaos of the party. Ruhan’s presence felt oddly steady, almost comforting. But there was still a part of me that wanted to retreat into the safety of solitude.

He asked casually about my family, and I answered as naturally as I could. "It’s just my mom and me," I said, keeping my tone light, though the ache in my chest was hard to ignore.
