Ruhan's POV...

The road blurred as I drove faster than usual, my mind racing. Anshi was trying to call Ruhi's mom again, her phone clutched in her hand as she waited for a response. But deep down, I knew something was wrong. I could feel it-the tension in the air, the heaviness in my chest.

Why did I even bring Anshi into this? I shouldn't have, but I had no other choice. Ruhi's life was at stake. I needed to protect her from the forces I had been running from for years.

My fingers tightened around the steering wheel, and I caught a glimpse of Anshi, glancing at me with confusion.

Anshi- Why did we stop at your house? What was so important?

I hesitated, choosing my words carefully.

Ruhan- Something important... something we'll need.

The truth was, I didn't want her to know about the key I had taken. This bungalow was a dark part of my past, and I wasn't ready to tell her everything. Not yet.

---

Anshi's POV...

There was something off about Ruhan. He wasn't telling me everything, and his silence only made me more anxious. I couldn't understand why we'd stopped at his house before heading to the bungalow. His evasiveness made it worse. But for now, I had to focus on Ruhi.

I tried calling Ruhi's mom again, hoping she would pick up. Nothing. Just the endless ringing of the phone. Frustration bubbled up inside me, but I couldn't let it out. Ruhi needed us.

We finally arrived at the bungalow. From the outside, it looked old and abandoned, its windows dusty and lifeless. But I couldn't help feeling drawn to its architecture.

---

Ruhan's POV...

We parked the car, and I got out, keeping my eyes fixed on the bungalow. It stood there like a ghost of the past, a beautiful facade masking something far more sinister. I had to stay calm, but my heart was pounding.

Anshi opened the gate and started walking ahead. She seemed fascinated by the place, completely unaware of the danger that lurked beneath its surface. I walked behind her, my mind racing.

I had to keep her safe. I couldn't let this place claim another life.

---

Anshi's POV...

I stepped inside the gate and looked around, unable to hide my amazement. The bungalow was beautiful, even though it had been left to decay. I couldn't understand why everyone called it cursed.

I stopped and turned to him, noticing he wasn't admiring the place like I was; he seemed to resent it.

---

Ruhan's POV...

We approached the front door. It was locked, just as I expected. Anshika looked around for something to break it open, and after a moment, she handed me a stone.

Anshi- Here, use this.
Ruhan- Give it to me.

I took the stone and smashed the lock open with ease. As we stepped inside, I could feel the heavy air closing in around us. The house was grand, even majestic, but its beauty was just a distraction. An illusion hiding the truth.

---

Anshi's POV...

The inside of the bungalow was breathtaking. Chandeliers, antique furniture, and grand staircases it was like stepping into a different time. I could hardly believe this place had been abandoned for so long.
