I WALKED into my dorm room, finding the door open and Jane complaining about her mother. Evie was using the sewing machine while Mal lay on her stomach at the end of her bed, drawing in her sketchbook. "Hey." I greeted them, sitting on my bed.

"Hi." E said in her angelic voice, glancing at me.

"Mom said, 'If a boy can't see the beauty within, then he's not worth it. Can you believe it? What does she live in?" Jane sighed, twirling around and face-planting into E's bed beside.

"Uh, Auradon." I scoffed, brushing out my hair.

"Mal, do you like?" Evie held up a dress, turning off the machine in front of her.

"Yeah. It's cute. It brings out your eyes." Mal commented.

"I know." She smiled widely.

"I'll never get a boyfriend." The godmother's daughter groaned, sitting properly.

"Boyfriends are overrated." M rolled her eyes.

"And how you know, M? You've never had one." I reminded her, putting my hairbrush down.

"It's 'cause I don't need one, Ce. They're a waste of time." She mumbled, glancing at Jane

"I forgot to do Chad's homework! Oh, no! Oh, no, no, no." Evie jumped up, grabbing a beige bag from the floor. She sat down at the desk, pulling out a workbook.

"And that is exactly what I mean." Maleficent's daughter pointed out.

"Hey, guys! I'm Lonnie. My mom's Mulan?" A girl walked in, and we stared at her blankly. "No? Anyways, I love what you've done with Jane's hair. And I know you hate us, and, well, you're evil. But do you think you do mine?"

"Why would I do that for you?"  M lifted her head up.

"I'll pay you 50 dollars." Lonnie held up a bag of coins, making a jiggling sound.

"Good answer. I need to buy more material." Evie got up, grabbing the pouch out of her grasp. "Let's see, I'm thinking, we lose the bangs, maybe some layers and some highlights."

"Yeah, yeah. I want it cool. Like Mal's." She nodded along, not really caring.

"Really? The split ends, too?" E glanced at the purple-haired girl, shaking the money.

"Ugh, fine..." She rolled over, picked up her spell book, and stood up. "Beware, forswear, replace the old with cool hair." She pointed in all sorts of directions and her black hair eventually turned into brown and past her shoulders, falling nicely with her headband. Lonnie stepped in front of the full-length mirror in the corner, admiring herself.

"I know. I know. It looks like a mop on your head. You know what? Let's cut it off, layer it..." Evie held her shoulders while I took out my phone and played a game.

"No, no, no, no, no, no! I love it." She shook her head, interrupting her ideas.

"You do?"

"It's just..." Lon bent down slightly, ripping her skirt. "Now I'm cool."

"Like ice." Mal and I both commented. Jane came into the reflection, ripping hers too before gasping.

"What did I just do? Mom's gonna kill me!" She slapped a hand over her mouth.

We were both seated at the foot of my bed. My arm over Carlos' shoulders, leaning my head against him as he did stuff on his computer, with Dude sat in my lap.

"What're you doing?" I asked, after moments of us sitting like this.

"Just researching about the wand," Carlos replied, scrolling through a page called Wikipedia.

"How was class today?" I questioned, reading parts of his screen in interest.

"N-new, I guess." He shrugged the best he could with my arm over his shoulder.

"All right." I nodded, and he smiled, turning his head towards mine. And for a second we just looked deeply into each other's eyes, getting practically lost, before a voice pulled us out. We both turned our heads to the door.

"Yo-ho-ho! Hey!" Jay smiled, opening the door and closing it behind him. He showed off his new tourney jersey while Carlos whistled from beside me.

"Did your plan work with Jane? Are you over to see the wand?" My brother asked Mal beside her mattress.

"Do you that I be going through every single spell in this book if I hadn't completely struck out?" She snapped.

"Well, someone's in a bad mood," Carlos commented, and I rolled my eyes playfully, ruffling Dude's fur.

"My mom's counting on me! I can't let her down!" M reminded us and I lifted my head up.

"We can do this... If we stick together." J reassured us and I stared at him confused.

"And we won't go back until we do. Because we're rotten..." The purple-haired girl looked around at us from her perched spot on the bed.

"To the core." We finished, bobbing our heads.

"Hey, what happened to 'there's no team in I', Jay?" I scoffed, pointing that out.

"I'm on a team, Cece. Gotta start acting like it." He gestured to his shirt.

"Okay." I chuckled, looking back at Carlos' screen.

"Oh, yeah. I found out that Fairy Godmother blesses Ben with the wand at the coronation, and we all get to go. I have nothing to wear, of course." We all looked at her, dumbfounded, when someone knocked on the door. "What?"

"Hold on." I got up to my feet, placing Dude down. Carlos looked sad for a split second like he missed my presence. I walked over to the door and opened it.

"Hey, Cerise. I didn't see some of you today. I was just if you had any questions or anything... That... you needed..."

"Uh, I don't think so..." I looked back behind me at the other four, with Mal and Evie now standing up.

"Okay. All right. Well, uh, If you need anything, just, uh..." He mumbled, about to leave.

"Oh, wait! Um, is it true that we all get to go to your coronation?" M stepped closer, basically switching spots with me, and I sat back beside De Vil. He snaked his arm around my waist while I put Dude back in my lap.

"Yeah, the whole school goes." He clapped his hands together in front of him.

"Wow. That is exciting. Do you think that it's a possibility that the five of us could stand in the front row next to the Fairy Godmother, just so we could soak up all that goodness?" Mal asked, clearly forming a plan.

"I wish you could. Up front, it's just me, my folks and my girlfriend." He sighed.

"And your girlfriend?" She repeated, playing with her hair

"Yeah. I'm sorry." He apologized.

"Okay. Thanks, bye." M smiled, shutting the door and turning to face us.

"Oh, but, no, there's plenty of-"

"I think It's time that Bennyboo got himself a new girlfriend. And I need a love spell." She explained, holding her hands out for her spell book, and Jay threw it over.
