**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚ DESCENDANTS 2 ˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*

IT HAS been about six months since we arrived in Auradon and tried to steal the wand. These days the biggest news is no longer us VKs, but the Royal Cotillion. The Royal Cotillion is a celebration of Mal becoming a Lady of the Court, though it's basically an engagement to be engaged to be engaged. Speaking of Mal, she had obviously changed the most now that she was the King's girlfriend. She had blond hair with purple tips and wore dresses and skirts in pastel colours. It was gross but my job as her best friend was to say nothing of it.

As for the rest of us, I haven't really - maybe a few skirts and new hair. Evie was doing amazing in every class while creating dresses for all the girls for Cotillion, earning money. Jay hadn't whatsoever. Carlos had grown taller and grown out his hair a little, becoming more confident I suppose.

But I think I like Carlos, never mind, I do for sure. Probably since we came here I'm guessing. I always find myself staring at him and getting lost and distracted or kissing his cheek and hugging him. Maybe the feelings are mutual but I won't know until he makes a move because I am so not embarrassing myself.

Anyway, right now I was helping Evie with Mal's outfit for the event. I placed the yellow and blue heels on the desk while chatting with the blue-haired girl. "You know how much money you're making from these dresses?" I scoffed, untying my hair.

"No, but fashion is my favourite thing in the world - besides you guys - so it doesn't matter." She shrugged, hanging up a coral-coloured dress on the rolling clothing rack.

"I mean, you could probably buy your own castle, I bet!" I chuckled, running my hands through my silky hair.

"What!?" She gasped, covering her mouth.

"Do the math and figure it out." I smirked, "We need to go and find Mal, she needs to try the dress on before class."

"Oh, right!" She nodded, yanking her purse off the coat hanger in the corner.

"Yeah, come on." I grabbed her hand as we left the room, going outside the school. "Oh, she's over there, E." I pointed in front of the statue of Ben's father.

"Good eye, Cece." She patted my shoulder as we joined Mal. I grabbed M's hand before the King could kiss her cheek.

"If we don't do a fitting for your gown right this minute, you'll be dancing in your bathrobe, okay?" Evie threatened and greeted Benjamin. "Hi. Let's go. Let's go."

"See ya, Benji!" I said, pulling the girls.

"Bye, Ben."

"Bye."

E pulled M's shoulders back forcefully, synching the corset while I finished my sketch of Dude for Art class today. "Okay, Evie. I cannot breathe."

"You can breathe after Cotillion, M," I reassured her, standing on my feet, the eraser of my pencil in my mouth.

"I sincerely doubt that. I have at least twenty more events directly behind it. And I can't even remember what a single one of them is." She scoffed as E kissed her fingers, admiring her work.

"Oh, impeccable."

"Guys?" Mal asked after a second.

"Yeah?"

"Hmm?"

"Do you ever think about what we'd be doing if we were back on the Isle right now?" She pondered out loud.

"That's funny." Evie giggled, measuring her lower hips.

"You'd still be stealing candy from babies." I joked, closing my sketch pad closed and bending down to shove it into my bag.

"Ah! Look who's on TV." She dragged the blond closer to the screen beside me.

"As the royal couple continue their tour of the kingdom, they dine with Aladdin and Jasmine. Six months ago, no one thought King Ben and his girlfriend from the wrong side of the bridge would last." The reporter narrated while M spun around and sat at the edge of her bed chuckling. She laughed at herself and the words the person said.

"Yeah, no kidding." She rolled her eyes.

"Mal must be counting the days until Royal Cotillion when she will officially become a lady of the court."

I turned around after hearing her gasp while E wrote some stuff down on her notepad. I tapped her forearm, jerking my head over to Mal as a signal.

"I know Mal's secret of fitting in and Ben wouldn't like it one bit." Evie approached the girl who glared at her while using a spell to retain information for a book without any work.

"Don't you two have enough secrets already?" I sighed, holding onto the bedpost.

"Cerise, you remember what I was like before I started using my spell book. I mean, I was a complete disaster." She stated, remembering our old lives.

"Well, personally, as your best friends, we strongly believe that this spell book..."

"Hey!" Mal yelped as she yanked it out of her lap.

"It belongs in the museum with her mirror, Mal." I agreed and she frowned.

"Don't give us the face. Put the pout away. Mhm... You know we're right." E ordered, predicting her actions.

"You guys don't ever miss running wild and just breaking all the rules?" She questioned tiredly.

"Like stealing?" I quirked a brow.

"And lying and fighting?" Evie continued.

"Yeah." Mal smiled.

"No! Guys, come here!" E grabbed both our hands, pulling us to the TV. "Look at where we are. We're in Auradon. And we're Auradon girls now."

"Since Mal revealed her love of strawberries, she has received hundreds of cartons from her admirers." The reporter continued, causing E to throw her arms around us and squeeze. "Here she is, enjoying a cozy..."

"See, this is the land of opportunity. We can be anything whatever we want to be here. So, please, let's just leave the past in the past, okay?" The blue-haired girl asked, glancing at M.

"Yeah, and you should change, we have class soon."
