I WORE a white tank top with my purple symbol at the top with a big purple leather jacket and a black skirt with mesh tights underneath with heeled boots again. It was almost the end of Goodness class, and we were doing silent work alone at our desks when Fairy Godmother interrupted us. "Children, excuse me. Um... as you know, uh, this Sunday is family day here at Auradon Prep. And because your parents can't be here due to, uh, distance... we've arranged for a special treat.

She turned around to the front, clicking the keyboard and showing our parents' faces. "Kids!" She beckoned us over. We got up and joined her.

"Oh, Evie! It's mommy. Oh, look how beautiful." EQ exclaimed with joy and E waved. "You know what they say, the poison apple doesn't fall far from the tree."

"Don't you mean the weeds?" Maleficent corrected.

"Eoh! Who's the old bat?" Cruella asked.

"This is Fairy Godmother." I introduced her with a tight smile.

"Still doing tricks with eggplants?" Mal's mom scoffed and they snorted, laughing.

"I turned a pumpkin into a beautiful carriage!" Godmother defended herself.

"You really couldn't give Cinderella till one a.m.? I mean, really. What, the hamsters had to be back on their little wheels? " The villains joked, fist-bumping.

"They were mice! They were not- They were mice. They were not..." Our headmistress turned around to us.

"Thank you so much. Thank you." M thanked her, and she whispered to the screen first before walking off to the side. "Hi, Mom."

"Mal!" Maleficent gasped and my friend tensed up, "I m-m-miss you..."

"You children are never far from our thoughts," Dad added, lying through his teeth.

"I got it... How long must Mommy wait to see you?" Her mother said in a fake worried voice.

"There's a coronation coming up, most likely sometime after that," I answered.

"When?"

"Friday, ten a.m!" M smiled in pain.

"You sure I can't see you before that? I don't know what I'll do if I don't get my hands on that magic wa- You, you little nugget, that I love so much!" The four parents forced a face of love for us.

"Yes, I completely understand, mother." She nodded her head.

"Uh, Carlos, is that a dog?" Cruella stuck her head closer to the point where we could see up her nose. "Oh, yes, yes, Baby, I do understand. It would make a perfect size for earmuffs."

Carlos stepped forward angrily. "He's the perfect size for a pet. This dog loves me and I love him! And FYI, your dog is stuffed! So give it a rest!"

"Ah!" His mother frowned, insulted by his courage.

"Oh-ho-ho! Burn!" Father laughed at the woman in black and white

"Oh! Why don't you go sell a toaster, you two-bit salesman!" She yelled.

"People who talk to stuffed animals shouldn't throw stones!" They bickered.

"Oh, well people who sell toasters shouldn't use mixed metaphors!"

"Enough!" EQ shouted before Jay shut it off.

Godmother shook her head, sadly. "I'm so sorry..."

"It's fine, miss." I smiled sadly.

"Thanks for the special treat." My brother thanked her.

"Of course." We went back to our desks, grabbing our stuff. I threw my bag over my shoulder, joining the others while we left.

"M? What do you think our parents are gonna do to us if we don't pull this off?" Evie questioned nervously.

"I think they will be... quietly disappointed in us, but ultimately proud of us for doing our best." Mal said, obviously being sarcastic.

"Really?" Carlos asked, almost believing it.

"No, I think we are definitely goners."

"Yeah, definitely."

I had shoved my books in my locker, joining Carlos over at his locker. "Hey."

He turned around, surprised. "Hi, what's up?"

"I just wanted to see how you were after, um... your outburst at Cruella," I explained, rubbing the back of my neck.

"Just nervous lately." He shrugged, closing his locker and walking side by side with me to the dorms.

"I know, me too. If we don't pull this off, what're our parents gonna do?" I mumbled lowly, passing my students.

"I don't know." He sighed, a shiver running down his back from the thought.

"Okay, we all know what this looks like. So, we'll be up on the dais under the Beast's spell jar, and we'll be coming in from here." Mal explained while we all stood around the table in the boys' dorm. She pointed at a map, speaking. "I will be in the very front. You all will be up on the balcony."

"Okay."

"Carlos?" She said, giving him the floor to continue while his arm rested over my shoulders.

"Okay, so I'll find our limo, so we can break the barrier and get back on the island with the wand." He explained.

"All right." I didn't want to leave.

"Evie." M took out something, holding up a perfume bottle.

"Yeah?"

"You will use this to take out the driver. Just two sprays, and he'll be out like a light." She explained, handing it to her.

"Okay." She nodded, understanding. The boys went over, sat on their beds and Mal took a seat, practicing something with her spell book.

"Mal, you want to break Ben's spell?" Evie said, reading her book over her shoulder, grabbing my attention.

"Yeah, you know. I don't... I've just been thinking, you know, when the villains finally do invade Auradon, and... begin to loot and kick everyone out of their castles and imprison their leaders and destroy all that is good and beautiful. . Ben still being in love with me just seems a little extra... cruel."

"Okay, whatever you think." I smiled, palm resting on her shoulder in reassurance. She stood abruptly, heading out.

"M?" Evie asked, confused, while she opened the door and left.

"She'll be fine, E," I stated. "It's getting late, we should go to bed before the curfew."

"Right."

"Night, boys." I wished them.

"Good night, Ce." Carlos perked his head up to look at me as I came over, pecking his cheek and leaving with Evie.

I don't wanna leave. I don't think any of us do. As I said, the others have never looked happier when Evie's with Dough, Carlos is with Dude, Jay is playing tourney on the field and Mal is with Ben. I've grown to love this place.
