Prom. Yes it was that time of year again the time of year I dreaded. All the mingling that was involved was a big no no for me. Asking me to mingle was possible the worse thing to ask me to do but here we are, sitting in my bedroom getting beautified.
Alice had insisted on helping me get ready as I was actually attending prom for on the first and hopefully only time in my life. Never in a million years did I think this day would come. We were at my house as Alice had specifically taken not taken no for an asked and said that it was more special to have Jasper arrive at my house and pick me up than it would be to just walk down the stairs and greet him.
Jasper was taking me to my first prom. I'm sure he'd also rather be else where that going to a prom filled with sweaty and smells teenagers but whatever. I wasn't going to start arguing with Alice whilst she had the hair straighteners in one hand and my hair in the other. I've got a full head of hair I'd like to keep it that way!
I never really wear a lot of dresses but Alice had basically forced me into the dress leaving me no choice by to wear them. Of course Alice is very over the top sometimes, not that it is a bad thing but it meant my dress was going to be very dramatic. It hugged my tiny waist perfectly but flowed out as it go true bottom it was truly perfect, I should definitely start wearing more dresses. Alice also wanted to get me into a pair of heels but that was where I drew the line and insisted I wear my chunky boots instead! I mean why not? They were comfy and added a slight edge to the look. Couldn't let Jasper get his hopes too high, if I made a massive effort this one time I'm sure he'd want me to do it more often and making an effort with how I looked wasn't something I was going to do all the time willingly!
Alice and I argued back and before before finally compromising and letting me wear my desired footwear.
With that being said I was finally ready and there was a knock on the door... right on time.
Alice opened the door to reveal the best looking southerner I'd every laid my eyes on. Dressed in a pair of smart black jeans and a black shirt with a jacket, Jasper was looking good as hell.
The moment Jaspers eyes landed on my own we both looked at one another with pure admiration for one another.
"You truly are the most beautiful woman I've even come across" he said with adoration lingering in his eyes. "You scrub up well yourself love" I said looking at him directly in the eyes smiling.
"Okay picture time" Alice said enthusiastically. We took a quick photo or 10 before we headed out to the black car that was waiting outside for us. Jasper was the designated driver tonight meaning I didn't have to. Thank god. Don't think I would have been able to drive in this dress anyways.
The night was blissful, it was full of laughs and a lot of dancing, a mix of serious and silly dancing that was. We had made our way out of the building and found a cute little bench isolated from everyone else but we could still see our surroundings.
The silence was comfortable my head was rested on his shoulder, our hands interlocked.
"You know I've never been to a prom before tonight" I confessed. "Well ma'am I hope I've made your first prom experience worth while"
"Hey look" I said pointing towards the gazebo where Edward and Bella were dancing. Cute.
"Dance with me" he said standing up holding his hand out to me, I didn't hesitate to grab it before he pulled me up from my seated position, twirling me around making me bump into him slightly. I laughed to my hearts content, relishing in this truly intimate moment the two of us shared.
"I'm glad you agreed to come to prom with my darling" he said as he looked at me whilst we gently swayed to the faint sound of the music coming from the building. In that moment I couldn't think of anything more perfect, especially when he lent down to kiss me tenderly on my lips, holding himself there for a few moments before pulling away from me , making me instantly miss the soft feeling his cold lips brought to my own.
"You truthfully are the most wonderful person i be ever met" he said lovingly. "Ditto" I said shyly smiling at him, there wasn't many words I could use to describe how I truly felt about Jasper in this moment.
