So... it's a date?

We have been waiting for like forever. Just like Kazuha said there really isn't anything we can do now. All the resistance has been walking around or sitting down or doing whatever they felt like doing. So it was probably obvious to them as well that we were all useless.

I was laying on the ground with my eyes closed and almost alseep when i suddenly heard a certain "swoosh" sound. I got startelled for a second and turned quickly around only to see my long lost friends: Aether and Paimon.

I quickly got up to properly look at these two. My eyes flickered to Kazuha's for a second to see if he was seeing them too. Aparently i wasn't dreaming and our friends really were there.

"Guys... What's wrong with you?" I asked as i ran to them and hugged Aether and Paimon.

"Why are you guys like this...? Why you gotta do things like this?" I asked, hugging them even tighter.

"In a way, she's right," Kazuha admitted while walking over to us.

"You really should stop running into danger. That goes to you too, Y/n." He continued.

"Yeah, sorry, Kazuha," i apologized again without even bothering to look the way he was.

"Yeah, Paimon really has to apologize for that too... We didn't mean to make any of you worried. We just didn't want anyone to know since it was the best way of keeping all of you safe and sound!" Paimon explained. That is what she's best at after all.

"We actually kind of need to go..." Aether started.

"Huh what? Where? Again? No! What's with all that running off?" I furrowed my eyebrows as i started to feel helpless again.

"We have to talk to Yae Miko and continue our journey, Y/n," Aether softly spoke as he gently tried to remove my hands off of his neck and back.

"I think you should let them both go. You can't stay hugging there forever," Kazuha mentioned.

I sighed as i felt my friends slipping away again.
"Fine," i said when i had made up my mind.

I told myself:
You can't keep chasing them for ever, Y/n. They are travelers, there is no way you can make them stay. It's not like you knew eachother for your whole life, there's no need to get so attached.

Though it wasn't pleasant to hear, it was true. I just had to get used to this.

"Okay, i'll... Thank you Aether and Paimon... For all this time that we had to get to know each other. You may now go to wherever you need, i don't have anything else to say." And with that i had let go of my friends.

"Thank you too Y/n and you too Kazuha."

"Yeah, Paimon thinks you are amazing too. And now we should really get going. Bye-bye Y/n and Kazuha!"

"Goodbye," Aether joined.

"Visit us sometimes," Kazuha added.

"To the time we meet again," i quietly said, almost more for comforting myself than for saying goodbye.

"So Kazu, i suppose our trip to Inazuma is now over?" I started the conversation.

"I suppose it is," was Kazuha's answer.

"So.... Kazuha. You still wanna go on that date?" I smugly eyed him from the corner of my eyes.

"Oh so you do remember!" He smiled and sighed in relief.
"I already started thinking that perhaps i was just dreaming, that it never really happened," he was still smiling his beautiful free smile.
