Tenshukaku

The way to Tenshukaku took a while longer since we had to try and hide ourselves at least a little bit. Even Kazuha understood that we're not able to save Aether and Paimon when he's arrested. I am not even supposed to be in Inazuma as i skipped the whole papering with Thoma.

My heart was racing from the running and of how stressed i was for my friends. I could tell Kazuha wasn't exactly calm as well. His breathing was a bit out of the ordinary and the look in his crimson eyes wasn't as sunny as before.

Also Kazu certainly didn't need to lose anyone else. Though he hasn't really told me much about it, i have learned that he has no living family members. Plus his dear friend...

Time skip-

For now we were near our destination: the Tenshukaku. As i was just thinking about why all the guards where knocked out Kazuha suddenly grabbed my shoulder and seriously whispered:
"Someone's coming, i hear footsteps."

"Huh? I hear nothing?" It kind of sounded like a question because of how i grew unsure about mu hearing with only seconds.

"But i do, and i can tell there's more than one person coming this way," he paused for a second and then continued, "the wind... It carries a familiar scent..."

Like Paimon used to say "you're talking total balloney". Honestly, who would come here with a big gang?

Kazuha was so close to me that even i could hear his heart race increasing. Soon i could even hear the footsteps of running people sa well.

"...Gorou?" I heard Kazuha whisper to himself sa i realised the exact same thing: there was Gorou with the resistance!

Me and Kazuha slowly came out of our hiding spot. Slowly to not make the resistance think we are enemy and attack us.

"Kazuha? What are you doing here?" Gorou asked. "Here" was most obviously reffering to the Tenshukaku. Honestly, if i didn't know why we were here, i'd ask the exact same question. Would think that Tenshukaku is the last place where Kazuha would like to be.

"Saving the Traveler and his companion." Kaedehara said with no hesitation.

"What a coincidence, that's why we are here sa well," Gorou replied.

I grew impatient. Our friends are fighting in there and these two are chatting about "wHy srE You hEre?".

"Guys! What do you think you're doing?! Can't you remember we all came here to save them not plainly talk about it! Let's go!" I hurriedly said.

Seemed that my words worked because i saw the realisation hit both Kazuha and Gorou, but also some people of the resistance.

"Right," Kazuha agreed. And with that ending note we all started running to the Tenshukaku. Just as we were about to go through the entrance, Aether and Paimon walked out.

They're alive! Though Aether looks like he has smoked too much naku weed...

I looked around to see the whole resistance's faces and what i saw was relief on every last one of them.

...that was until some kind of portal appeared before us. Everything seemed to get slower, like we all went slow-mo somehow. I know the slowing was just an illusion but i could clearly see every second of what happened next: the snap in Kazuha's face... The vision lighting up... Him dashing to inbetween the Raiden Shogun and Aether while his sword got infused with electro... And in a split second of time he had already blocked the attack from Raiden Shogun.

He was holding his blade, doing his best to save our friends. But i saw it... He couldn't hold it any more longer... I knew if someone wasn't going to do anything right now Kazuha might die instead.

But did i have anything to protect any of us with? No, of course not. I can't even wield a blade, i'm no good at martial arts. To say... I'm absolutely awful at it.

But it didn't stop me. Now that i think back about it, Kazuha probably could have handled it himself. Though i don't know it. And i never will know.

And it didn't stop me at all. I ran towards them. I ran towards Kazuha. Quickly, without even thinking, i placed my right hand infront of Raiden Shogun's blade. In that moment i was sure it really was the end. But... It wasn't.

I felt something in my hand... It was the only thing that saved me then. At the time i had more things to worry about than what was that thing that saved me.

I closed my eyes shut praying for the Archons that everyone would leave this place alive and unwounded. Pushing my hand forward i opened my eyes only to see Kazuha's shocked face. And looking into the eyes of Raiden Shogun i saw shock as well.

I don't know what did i do but the thing in my hand started heating up. It was a bit too hot but not dangerous. Instead what was dangerous was the amount of fire that came out of seemingly nowhere. I didn't have the time to think about it too much. But i was grateful as it seemed to hurt the Raiden Shogun. And as it met the electro all around the place... An explosion happened. All: me, Kazuha, Aether and Paimon where flown into the air.

Looking back into the face of Raiden Shogun i still saw the same shock as before. When i looked to my side where Kazuha had landed i saw his friend's electro vision on the ground as the light faded away from it.

I was just about to get up and do something but i saw Aether already infusing his dull blade with electro and charging towards Raiden Shogun. Before anyone could do anything, the portal had already took Aether and Paimon with Raiden Shogun.

For a few seconds it was just silence. My hands were shaking as i finally got a look at what saved me: a pyro vision.
