Knot's Point of View
While cutting down trees with Josh, I spotted something from afar. A van? Wait, a camper van!
"Josh, may camper van oh!" I pointed out the van. "Oo nga, wait, let's finish these things up tapos ayain natin 'yung mga babae para sabay nating i-check 'yung van." He spoke and I nodded. Pinatapos ko na s'yang putulin ang kahoy at tsaka ito tinalian ng dahon ng buli. Napag-alaman kong isang scout si Josh.
Well, I know a lot about scouting. Pero ang pokus ko dati ay ang makapagtapos ng pag-aaral and to show some regretions to my parents why they didn't gave enough time and love to me – to us.
Oh, damn. Naaalala ko na naman si Kelly. I-I have to be strong!
"Hey, uhm, Knot? May problema ba?" Josh asked and looked at me. "N-Nothing, why'd you asked?" I replied.
"May luha ka, is there something wrong?" As soon as I realize tears already fell right through my cheek. And in a moment, I felt weak. "I-It's just, uhm, ah, something flashed at the back of my mind." I reasoned. "Uhm, care to share while we're on our way back?" No, Knot!
There's a part of me, that want to show and speak. While there goes my inner self fighting with each other. I want to, yet my mind won't.
"No thanks, I can handle it." I replied and wiped down my tears. Damn, I showed my fuckin' weak side to someone who's not close to me.
I don't know why, but I'm afraid to show weakness to others. It felt like, if you show your weak side then soon, they'll use it against you.
And, I'm a man, boys don't cry. We aren't weak. We aren't soft-hearted. We don't show our weakness to others. We do and believe on our own. We have our own opinion. That's a definition of man, dad taught me when I was a kid.
I shrugged off and continued to walk, following Josh's path.
As soon as we arrived at the area where we left the girls, we spotted them finishing breaking the empty glass.
I was planning to tie them in each end of the woods Josh and I gathered. Using the straps in the bag, they'll be the rope to be used to tie.
But enough with that, "Girls, ilagay n'yo muna ang mga 'yan sa bag, ingatan n'yo ang mga kamay n'yo. At h'wag n'yong suotin ang bag para iwas sugat sa likod sakali mang tatakbo tayo." utos ko.
"Bakit? Aalis kaagad tayo? 'Ni hindi pa nga tayo nakakain. Tsaka malapit nang magdilim." usal ni Nade na ikinagulat ko nang mareyalisang magdadapit-hapon na pala.
"We'll eat later, we found a safe place na baka matulugan natin." depensa ni Josh. Napatango ang lahat at nagsimula nang mag-ayos ng mga gamit.
As soon as they finished, we all walk towards the directuon where Josh and I found the camper van.
"Bilisan n'yo, maggagabi na." usal ni Josh at nagmadali na kami sa paglalakad.
Hanggang sa narating na namin ang camper van. "Magmatyag kayo sa paligid, kami ang papasok sa loob okay?" sabi ko at tumango sila. Nagtanguan kami ni Josh at pinasok ang camper van. Gamit ang lighter na may flashlight ay ako ang umuna sa loob.
Medyo magulo ang nasa loob ng camper van at halatang may iilang mga estudyanteng pumupunta rito sapagkat may iilang research papers akong nakita sa mesa.
Dumiretso ako sa pinakadulo at namataan ang magulong kusina at maduming palikuran.
May napansin akong switch sa may kusina kung kaya't pinindot ko ito, bumukas ang ilaw sa loob ng camper van at bunungad sa amin ang napakagulong camper van at parang may naaamoy akong kakaiba. Hindi naman amoy zombie, pero basta kakaiba.
