Sunrise was on the horizon, with it I stuck around to watch from afar as the manor burned down to the ground. Many of the men rushed in to try to stop the blaze but by that time it was out of control and would not be stopped. Closing my eyes to the sun I held my face high to the sky allowing its gaze topound the back of my eyelids, causing me to see bouncing spots of light and dark, appearing and disappearing with no rhyme or reason. Warming me up with its relentless heat. Enjoying the last moments of my freedom I took in a deep breath, exhaling slowly.

I didn't know what would happen next, would they find me, find out that I was to blame, andwhack me? Would I be locked up for the rest of my life or would I simply get away unscathed? I listened to the birds endlessly talk amongst one another seemingly unaffected by what was happening nearby and the bees too, buzzed around unbothered by the scene playing out in front of us. As for me, I took this time to enjoy my newfound freedom for the time being, while wafting in the scent of burning debris and the smell of independence.
