Chapter 3

Mizuki's POV
Today was mostly just me trying to find a dress. I had to sneak past Headmaster Cross and Zero. I'm really hoping they won't notice I'm gone. That wouldn't be good. Walking up to the building is waved off my driver. Looking down at my communication ring I took a deep breath. It's been awhile since I've done this... I'll be okay...I've always be okay ever since that day....Walking through the doors I was gestured to go fourth. I bowed in respect and walked into the crowded ball room. It's beautiful. Going through the crowds I looked at everyone. Black hair....green eyes... My silver hair followed behind me as I swayed to the music.
"May I have this dance My Lady?" I looked over to the guy..Bingo..
"Yes you may" I said bowing back to him and letting him take my hand. He led me to the dance floor and we danced.
"So My Lady might I ask of your name?" I shook my head
"Nope" he was stunned
"And why not, I ask?" I smiled
"I'd rather keep it a mystery"I said in a sweet more silky voice
"Oh well in that case I'm Ciel Takishima" I faked a smile
"Wow" he dipped me
"Have you heard of me?" he said raising an eyebrow as I shook my head
"Slightly...but not much" actually I know everything about you but oh well you won't be alive long enough to know that
"Shall we go talk alone?"he said as I looked up at him forcing myself to blush
"Well..." he smiled and held my hand
"Come on my dear" he led me out as his arms went around me in a room
"Let's get to know each other more." I freaked as I haven't had my first kiss and I ended up kneeing him. He fell before me as I smiled and pulled out my combat knives.
"Well well well Mr.Takishima it really is a shame. And I liked you so much, your such a gentleman" I said putting the knife to his throat
"But you messed with my employers men so now I'm have to return the favor" I slowly made a cut down his neck, he groaned in pain as I threw him to a chair and tied him down
"Now this game is easy, that is if you play by the rules. I ask you a question and you answer. Everytime you don't answer you suffer, got it?" he looked at me and smirked
"But your so innocent my dear, you kneed me because you haven't kissed anyone before right?" I cut his leg
"Shut up!" I calmed down
"Who told you our location" he stayed silent as I stabbed his hand
"I said who told you our location"
"I..I...don't know I got an anonymous tip on paper with the a letter K on the bottom"
"But your men attacked our headquarters, how could you have not known what was there?"
"I didn't but I sent them to check?" I raised an eyebrow
"That sounded more like a question than an answer" he looked at me as I saw something slightly in his eyes. Noticing it was a person in the room behind me, I turned and stabbed the guy.
"You missed my heart" the guy said as his shoulder was bleeding and he was right behind me. He tried to pick me up as I kicked him to the wall. The impact of him hitting the wall was loud in the silent room. He groaned as I pulled him in front of his employer.
"This is what you get as punishment for betrayal and cheating" I got the guy up and stabbed him straight in the heart. Pity ran through me as I had to ignore it.
"Michaels!" I made a smirk
"You shouldn't have cheated Takishima" he looked at me
"You'll pay for that" I nodded
"Yeah I highly doubt that" I put the guys body to the side as I looked at the guy again
"You were our loyal business partners. We had an understanding, your men worked to help out assassinations. Yet, you do this? Ha I'm suprised you weren't killed a month ago. You really should've been dead especially with all the knowledge you've obtained these years. Sorry but the extra years they gave you to live, are being taken away at midnight. Which is in 2 more minutes. I'll wait for you to die naturally, if your wondering why I haven't killed you yet" he looked at me
"How can someone so beautiful...be so..."
"Cruel? Easy I lost the people in my life and I was put through some things that really change you." I said as we had only seconds left
"Please just tell me your....name..." he slowly started to fade away as I saw his life flash before my eyes.
"Mizuki Tsuki" I whispered as I saw the empty chair that's now before me. I put the chair back under it's desk and walked out. Zero!? I freaked out and hid in the room.
"I think I heard something..."
"Zero it's probably nothing"
"No I heard a familiar voice...and that scent" crap....
"From where then?"
"Hmmmm...in here" I slid under the bed and went in it's secret compartment. I heard the two people's footsteps as I couldn't tell what they were saying.
"Hey Zero what's this?" no no please don't
"Hm? Oh is it a door?"
"Underneath a bed?" a dry chuckle was heard
"Guess your right but it does look like" I shut my eyes closed and pretended to be asleep
"Tsuki!!" Zero dragged me out from under the bed as I kept my eyes shut.
"Tsuki! Come on are you okay!?" I took a mental note and made it look like I needed air desperately.
"K..Kiryu" he held me closer
"What were you doing here Tsuki, you said you'd be at the library" I nodded
"I...was but then I heard about this party..and I've never been to one so.... I came. There was this guy and he danced with me then he did something. That's all I remember.." I parsley lied, I haven't been to a party before, and I did dance with him. He did do something, so at least I didn't have to full on lie.
"Tsuki...please next time ask me to go with you" he had an expression that shocked me that my eyes genuinely widened
"...o..okay I will" he smiled and my heart stopped..w...what...
"Come on let's go get dinner" I nodded as he helped me up.
"Um...Kiryu..."he looked down at me before he opened the door
"Yeah?" I looked down and actually blushed
"Can I hold you hand?" he stayed silent so I took that as a no - but he shocked me again by gently taking my hand
"Come on Tsuki...." we made our way out of the room as guards were running around looking for the guy I just killed. I made myself act shocked as Zero shocked me again by pulling me close to him.
"Don't leave my side Tsuki" I looked up at him as he has such a sincere look on his face. My employer caught my eye as he stood in the crowd shaking his head. So he saw that huh... My ring lit up as I nodded once understanding we're meeting later.
"Did you meet Takishima Ciel?"a guard came up and asked. His name stung a little as I simply said
"I said hello but that was really early in the evening sir" he nodded
"He just went missing a few minutes ago...you two may go" he didn't even question Zero...maybe they know its a girl who did it...
"Tsuki" I jumped up in suprise as I saw Zero in front of me away an arms length. His hands rested on my shoulders as I looked into his eyes. His eyes are so pretty...yet sad....
"Let's go get some food then" he said as he held my hand again

After we finshed eating we went back to the school
"Hope your ready for school tomorrow" I nodded
"Yeah I am....I have to be in the disciplinary committee too right?" he nodded
"Yeah when the night class comes out you just have to help me contain the crowds" I nodded and smiled
"Okay" he stopped walking as I stopped and looked back at him
"What's wrong?" he looked into my eyes
"Did you get to dance with anyone other than that guy... today?" I stood there as he came closer
"No" the word slipped out as he bowed
"Can I dance with you then?" I smiled for real for the first time in forever
"Yes you may" he held me closer as we swayed to imaginary music. The moon shines beautifully as his eyes practically are shining. He came closer to my face as I got confused so I stood there not knowing what to do.
"Zero, Mizuki! There you guys are!" we quickly separated as I saw Headmaster
"Oh hi Headma-"
"Please call me Father!" he said with a pouty face. My eyes widened and I froze in my place. Without noticing at first tears fell as I felt weak and wobbly.
"Are you okay?" he said seriously as flashs of a man flashed in my mind. Father...that's my father....completely hurt in remembering my real father I let my tears fall as I ran away. Its all I could think to do as a million thoughts were doing marathons in my head. I fell to my knees next to a tree and I looked up to the moon.
"Well....your problem is that your starting to not be able to drag in your prey. You not having your first kiss thing is a major handicap... You need to have your first kiss by the end of two weeks" I turned and saw my employer...by the end of two weeks
"I've also realized that your putting too much emotions out - that are attaching to this job. Don't let them, you still have a long way from this beginning that'll make it harder. You hear me Tsuki?" I nodded
"Yes..sir.." he nodded
"Good" he turned and stopped
"Oh and use Zero's obvious emotions against him" my eyes widened as he nodded once and left. Use his emotions against him.... I got up as everything he said echoed in his mind.
"Mizuki hello" I stopped in my tracks as I turned looking to my left seeing Kaname
"Kuran" he smiled
"So formal" he came behind me as I felt him move my hair
"We know each other more than that" he whispered as I pulled myself away from him
"Kuran stop" he held my arms
"Perhaps I should've turned you into a vampire last time I was with you...
but there is always second chances... Like this one" he went to my neck and I struggled to get away...pure ..blood...no..
"Kaname...stop!" I yelled as my last resort - he didn't even flinch as I gave up. It's over isn't it....I can't be an assassin as a vampire...right?
"Kaname Kuran" I heard a deep voice as Kaname stopped
"Oh hello Zero, you don't mind right?" Zero's eyes went red - as my eyes widened....he's one of them too
"Ohhhh I see you want Mizuki as your own...possibly your lover?" my heart stopped and I stiffened..what is going on...
"Kaname let go of her"he took out a gun...no way...a Bloody Rose?
"No I'm quite alright" Zero jumped up as my vision blurred and I fell alseep
