Chapter 8

Mizuki's POV
Today's battle training for the night class...so I need my head in the game. All day I've been empty and my minds been everywhere. I can't do that while training them to fight. Sighing I walked out and I still haven't got anyone's wrapping paper...no maybe later..A hand went on my back as I tensed up and hit their hand away. My rival Zero Kiryu!
"What do you think you're doing Kiryu!? Don't do that to your rivals!" he froze
"Rival?" I laughed
"Why do you say that as a question you know what you did" I said glaring at him, his face darkened as usual and nodded
"Right" he walked off as I rolled my eyes he was weird right now..that's definitely not normal.. Guess I have to step up my game! Yeah!

"And if they come up behind you, you do this..." why can't I get Zero out of my head..gosh none of this makes any sense! I finished displaying as I let a small breath out
"Okay now everyone please practice with your partners"
"Yes!"they all said in unison
"Your a good teacher Luna" I smiled
"Thanks Kaname! How's Yuki?" he kissed my hand
"Didn't we agree not to bring her up just yet till I explain?"
"R-right I'm sorry" I bowed as he lifted my face up with his hand
"It's quite alright Luna, I'll cut you some slack since your my favorite girl" chills went up my spine when he whispered that in my ear just now
"Okay..uh...class dismissed!" they all stopped and slowly left
"You busy today?" I nodded
"Yes I have a few things I must do" he nodded
"Okay well I'll see you soon then my Luna" he bowed and then kissed my hand. Walking out he left me in silence. I just have a quick job and then off to the shopping strip I go.

Zero's POV
"What do you think you're doing Kiryu!? Don't do that to your rivals!"
Rivals? I thought I had made my feelings clear yesterday..or I tried to.. Maybe somethings wrong with her..maybe she needs my help. Yeah this all as to be a big misunderstanding.
"Ah Zero how has your day been?" I heard that voice and I looked up seeing Kaname.
"Why do you care Kuran?"
"Oh nothing...oh this belongs to you I presume?" he handed me the bracelet I had given to Mizuki. It all makes sense but why would he..
"What'd you do?...what'd you do to Mizuki?!?"
"What needed to be done" he said simply as I glared at him
"What exactly had to be done?" he showed no emotion
"I'd stay away from Mizuki, unlike you I know what she's capable of. I can't have one of my pawns dying just yet." my jaw tightened as I felt my hands go into fist. I swear I'll find her and help her..it shouldn't be too late..

Mizuki's POV
Letting out a sigh I changed into my normal clothes and put my red dress up. Walking to my bedroom window I jumped out and landed perfectly on my feet. The snows so pretty... Walking off campus I made it to the center of town. Hmmm wrapping paper and I need some new winter clothes it's been getting colder. Picking up a little bit of snow I played with it in my hand as I walked. Oh that one's pretty! I walked inside as I felt eyes on me. I better not let my guard down I guess.. I nodded at the roll as I saw a weapon store across the street. Maybe I'll get some more of the Knifes I had earlier they worked great.
"800 yen" I nodded as I handed her the money. Maybe I don't have enough for more weapons...you could get Zero something. WHAT!? WHAT DID I JUST THINK!? My hands went into fists - no that's insane why'd I even begin to think that. Walking out I saw a cafe and walked in.
"Welcome back, Milady" I backed up as I bowed
"I'm terribly sorry I didn't know that this was a maid cafe" they smiled sweetly
"It's okay"
"We'll take care of you"
"You can trust us Milady"
It's so awkward though...
They led me to a table anyway as I gave up..I've never been to one before but I've heard of them.
"What would you like today? We suggest the peppermint cocoa!" I looked at the menu
"May I please have a vanilla latte?" her eyes sparkled as she smiled
"Cute and polite....so much moe! Yes you may Milady!" I smiled
"Thank you" she smiled as she squealed
"She's trying to win my heart!"
"She's getting mine!"
"Definitely!"
"Maybe she'd like to work here!"
"Manager!"
"Hello I'm the manager and we couldn't help but wonder...do you work?" well sortta kinda..but I don't get payed
"No" she smiled
"How would you like to work here? We'd love to have you here!" well I do need money....and they seem nice enough..
"Uh..uh..would it be odd to start soon?" she shook her head
"Of course not!"
"Here's your drink Milady"
"Thank you!" she smiled and bowed as she walked off. Cosplaying should be easy too..
"Well let's discuss all the details so you can be sure!"

"Yes ma'am! I'll be here tomorrow!" she smiled
"I'm glad to hear that Tsuki!"
"Thank you..." I played with my hands as I looked down at them. I looked up as tears slightly filled my eyes
"I really appreciate it" I haven't been accepted somewhere so sincerely..I almost don't know what to do..
"Aw, Tsuki, we appreciate your help too! We're down to the 5 of us!" I smiled
"Now it's 6" she smiled
"I will see tomorrow"
"Yes, bye" I got up leaving the money on the table
"Bye-bye!"
"Bye"
"Have a safe trip Milady!" they all said in unison as I nodded
"Thank you"
Walking out I rubbed my arms, it's really cold outside. As I walked down the dimmy lit streets I got a chill.
"What is a cute little girl like you doing out on the streets at this hour?" I was surrounded by 3 guys who all look drunk or on something as I backed up. I can't draw too much attention to us.

"None of your business" I said through my teeth
"Oo we got a feisty one Subaru"
"Yes we do" they all came closer
"Well we might as well show her..how to be tamed" I brought out my knifes as they looked at me.
"Woah huge Knifes for such a small girl like you"
"Do you need help with those?"
"Ha do you?"
"Stop!"I let my emotions of being bullied the same way in school get to me. It wasn't just another school it was a school for kids..who will become monsters..like me. Assassins.
"Look how cute she is she'll never be able to be an assassin!"
"Right, she's so cute and small!"
"I bet they'd just laugh!"
"Look how pathetic!"
"She'd probably cry like the cute little girl she is!"
"She's like a doll!"
I snapped as I ran toward them and quickly got rid of them. Blood was all over me as I mentally noted that the large black coat over my light clothes was good. I walked into a bar as I went straight into the bathroom and washed off mt hands and face. Now I need to get out of here before I run into someone else troublesome. Walking out I walked to the academy
"Mizuki!" I looked to my left as I saw Zero, my heart started pounding as I froze when his arms wrapped around me.

"Please Mizuki tell me what's wrong"
"W-what is wrong with you today?" he looked at me as my heart raced even faster
"Stop my heart won't calm down!" I yelled as I didn't mean to so I covered my mouth. He smiled at me as his hand caressed my cheek.
"Oh Mizuki..." his face came closer as our bodies came close together. I'm..he..we..kissed.,.what...
"Z-" my head hurt as I fell down and held it.
"I..it.... Hurts.." I felt an arm each under my legs and behind my back. That's all I felt.

Zero's POV
I sighed as I watched Mizuki sleep... What did he do to you...? I know now it wasn't just you, you would've kept fighting if you truly believed that. And to top it off you passed out.
"Mommy... Akihiko...Isamu...Daddy.." tears fell from her eyes as I held her hand...I guess I really don't understand you just yet...but I want to. Soon.
