Chapter 4

Mizuki's POV
Zero's a vampire.....
That reality just won't sink in. I've been around vampires for so long, yet this bothers me. Is it because he never told me? Sighing I turned over as my alarm went off. Guess it's time to call it quits from trying to get sleep. I got up and saw my long brown hair with my forever blue eyes. Doing everything I need to do I walked out my room. Wait I never changed...why was I wearing my night clothes... I shook my head as I walked to the kitchen in my new uniform. Zero stood talking to Headmaster Cross.
"Yeah I know but-" Headmaster had gotten up and pulled a camera
"Aw! Mizuki you look so cute!"he freaked out as I stiffened when he hugged me.
"T...thanks..." Zero stood as he had this look in his eyes. I can't read the message behind them which is new to me. Only with him can I not tell what the message is. Sighing Headmaster let me go.
"What is it Mizuki? Is there something wrong?"I shook my head and forced a smile
"No I'm fine" I said as Zero's face darkened and I gave a worried look his direction
"Well the night class will be out later so...Mizuki I know its a lot to ask but could you teach their class again?" I smiled
"Of course I'd love to, it's not much to ask so don't worry" he smiled and hugged me
"Ohhh Mizuki your so sweet! Too sweet!" I hugged him back and made my way to the library. Searching throughout all the books I found no books on what I need. Wait is this a human library...? Maybe I need a spiritual one?
"And what could a pretty girl like you want with books?" I turned and saw a boy. Maybe a little older than me, blond hair, green eyes, and definitely a vampire. He's in an all white uniform and he's really tall.
"I'm Hanabusa Ioda, by the way"he said extending a hand out
"Hi...I'm-"
"Tsuki Mizuki, Kaname has told me all about you" he said smiling smugly as I felt uncomfortable
"Well...I need...to go" he held my wrist as I attempted to walk away
"We're not done here" he smiled as the simple look of bloodlust scared me to death.
"Hanabusa" a stern voice echoed throughout the once quiet library as he let go after a while.
"Sorry Lord Kaname..."
"Say sorry to Mizuki as well" Kaname said as Hanabusa looked at me as furiously as possible
"Sorry..Mizuki" he walked passed me, me feeling his anger radiating from him
"I heard that you'll be helping guard the night class today" he came closer to me and fixed a strand of my hair moving it behind my ear
"I can't wait to see you again...Mizuki"I pushed his hand away gently
"You should not be improper with someone when you have Yuki"he smiled
"We're not official" I looked at him and if looks could kill. I promise you he'd be dead. He smiled and kissed my hand
"You really haven't changed...Mizuki.. Have you had your memories return?" I backed away - how'd he?
"I'll see you later Luna"

I kept repeating what Zero told me to as I made sure no one passed.
"Please stay back!" everyone was screaming and yelling names. The large doors opened as all the beautiful looking people walked out. Including familiar looking people... They looked at me as I stopped thinking for a second. Hopefully they don't know anything.... Sighing I looked down as I felt a hand on my back.
"Mizuki" I turned and saw Kaname as he embraced me. Not hugging him back he let go after a while.
"Can I ask a favor?" I looked at him as he smiled
"Nothing bad, Yuki can't make a ball with me later. So I was hoping maybe you could come with me?" I sighed
"And you have no one else you could go with?" he held my hand and shook his head
"Not anyone else" I nodded
"Fine I will accompany you then, but only as a friend and for convenience" he smiled
"Of course Mizuki, why else?" I nodded
"That's what I thought it was like till Yuki heard a rumor of we were together" he wrapped his arm around me
"That won't happen again" I nodded
"Okay I'll see you later then"
"Wait where do I meet you?" I turned
"By the tree" he nodded as I started to walk calmly back to the main buliding

"Hi everyone, I've tought you all before. Today we will learn the legend of the star among us" I sighed mentally as I ignored Kaname's stare as much as possible
"Though we not know her name, she shines so brilliantly that we must recognize her. Her identity hidden - even from her. Each passing day, after every other word. Memory by memory, her world will be restored. Our world will be restored. Whether she chooses black fate, or white fate, will choose our fate. If we fade and crumble or shine and enhance. She will rise soon enough by the next 2 decades. Then will be finally, be at peace." I finished reading the piece as I realized I have everyone's attention. A girl raised her hand as I nodded
"Yes ma'am what is your question?" she shyly looked down
"Do they know anything from the previous visions the poem came from?" I shook my head
"No unfortunately, they do know she's supposed to be 23 at the time of her rising though" she smiled
"Thanks..."I nodded as she looked back down to the book. I sighed looking at Kaname. He was still staring right at me as he nodded. Okay then I should get going to get ready then.
"Thank you all tomorrow I will read another legend to you, then the day after that we will begin physical training. Bye everyone" everyone left as Kaname stayed behind
"What is Zero to you?" I stiffened and froze at the sudden question but let out a breath calmly
"A friend...I think..he hasn't really clarified if I'm even a friend to him" he smiled
"I think he does for sure, I'll see you at 9:40?"I nodded
"Yes, I'll see you there" he nodded and embraced me before exiting. When he left, he left me in a deadly silent classroom
I found a box on my bed after an hour of walking.
To Luna (Mizuki Tsuki)
Remembering the nickname I smiled faintly as I opened the box.
'can't wait to see you at the tree Luna... I truly did miss you.

I found a maroon silky dress inside wrapped by a silver ribbon.
'One color of many to help you find your one true color'
I put the note to the side as I looked in the mirror holding it up to me. Guess it's time to change...

After changing I fell and hit the ground making the loudest thump known to man. Ughhh really.... I tried go get up from falling down the stairs as I heard footsteps
"Tsuki?" I turned my head seeing Zero
"Oh...hi..." he came in front of me
"Do you need help?"I looked down and nodded
"Yeah..." he chuckled lightly and helped me up
"Thanks.." he held my hand
"I know this is odd...but can I ask you why you're dressed up like this?" I looked up at his worried expression and melted into nothing
"I....I'm meeting a friend" he nodded
"I understand..please be careful" I nodded
"I will be...can I ask you something?" he looked back to me other than the floor
"Yes" I took a deep breath
"What am I to you?" I said worrying that with each word I'd said would effect my downfall
"Well....Tsuki...you're...you're..." he kept said you're like a crazy person as I had sighed
"Never mind..."I walked away and went to the tree. Kaname stood next to it as he greeted me with a smile.
"I'm sorry I'm late.." he shook his head
"It's quite alright Mizuki" I sighed looking down
"Are you sure? I'm 10 mintues late"he came closer and rised my head with his gentle hand
"Well...then if you really want it to be okay...then would you allow me to kiss you on the cheek?" I froze but nodded I dislike being in debt to people. When his lips touched my cheek I shut my eyes closed.
"Okay...let's...go..." he pulled me along as we entered a limo

Endless conversation is surrounding us as a light, simple sound of music is crowded over. I stood beside Kaname as he mingled with other people.
"Hello, I'm Kaname Kuran and this is Mizuki Tsuki"I smiled and waved
"Hello to you both, I'm Azusa Subaru" they started talking about 'world problems' as I let out a small breath. See all these people are vampires, it doesn't bother me. Why does the fact Zero's one bother me?
Walking away I followed a small butterfly. It's blue with black and silver lines in certain places. Its so pretty. I went outside following it as it started to blink like a light. I felt a cool breeze and then felt like I was flying.
"Tsuki!!" I heard as I realized I was standing on the balcony ledge and Zero came behind me. Without even thinking it I was jumping. As soon as I jumped I felt arms go around me. I was turned while falling as when I hit I landed with Zero. Right on him he kept his arms tightly around me.
"Mizuki..." he said lightly as I tried to get off him
"Oh..I'm sorry..I'm so sorry" he pulled me back down as he moved the hair from my face after getting up
"Sorry...isn't...enough" I sat on my knees before him as he looked into my eyes
"Mizuki...can you call me Zero again? I want you to call me by my first name" I smiled in relief as I looked down and nodded looking back up at him
"Zero..." he smiled
"Once more?..." I smiled again back at him
"Zero" he brought me closer and held me in the comforting silence. This is what it's like...to be normal. To be a normal girl, no mission, no one I have to kill, and no fake emotions. All me. The real me. Sure I'm broken, I can't change that. But for once...this one person. I can actually be myself.....
"Mizuki?" I turned and saw Kaname
"Oh hi Kaname...uh.." Kaname pulled me from Zero and held me to his chest
"Zero didn't I tell you to leave her alone?" Zero stood his ground and looked right at Kaname
"She's her own person, you don't decide whom she speaks with" Zero said coldly as Kaname's posture shifted. I've seen him like this before when he was about to....- Kaname put me aside as he walked toward Zero.
"She's mine Zero. I'll make her mine just like...my sister" Zero glared at Kaname and his jaw clenched
"Kaname don't-" I went to break them up but I suddenly couldn't move
"No Luna you're staying right there" Zero practically growled at him
"Her names Mizuki"
"No...well maybe to you but to me she's Luna my Luna she did come to this party as my partner after all"
"No I didn-" I couldn't talk now and no words would escape. It was like a stand off as they stood there. Each step they made the more anxious I grew. It was completely tearing me apart as I could do nothing. The silence was deadly and it pierced my ears like no other silence. Once they jumped at one another the silence was filled with fear. My fear. It's was completely modifying and I wanted it to end. Just like when I was younger I couldn't look away. I have no choice. Zero was hurt on the shoulder and Kaname was shot in the leg. I kept fighting my way out of whatever was holding me back. Finally as they were jumping toward one another again. I was able to break free.
"STOP!" I yelled as I stopped them from hurting one another and got stabbed on my wrist. Groaning I fell to the ground as they finally listened and stopped.
"Please...just...stop..." my loss of blood was taking a toll on me, and the worst part was I'm surrounded by two vampires.
