It had been a week since our encounter at my hotel room. It had been a week since I had discovered a new part of myself. So, to be frank, the days since had gone by all the more quickly considering all the interviews, co-hosting of TV-programmes not to mention the national roar of celebration that had gone by. During this time, I had little to none time for myself. Time for really working through the bombardment of thoughts, which had piled up in my mind since I spoke to Charles. I remember that I had asked him to text me the following day. Nevertheless, to my surprise, the first thing I saw on my phone, when I woke up, was the message from Charles.

Charles Leclerc: Hey Max, I hope I didn't scare you too much last night, I just couldn't bear to go around with these thoughts anymore, I hope you understand. I totally get if you want some time to reply and if you wanna wait and if you don't want to at all then that's fine too. Just please reply to me:)

I had looked at the message and read it probably around ten times. I simply wasn't able to stop reading it out of pure joy. This joy that, in its own way, made my head go dizzy and butterflies fill my stomach. I couldn't contain my happiness. And to my somewhat amusement, I smiled at the fact that Charles' message gave a nervous vibe of it like had he stood there and said it himself. I chuckled a bit on the thought, and wondered if he was even made aware that I for one thing would NEVER not want to get together and talk things through. Because, if there was one thing that filled my mind this week, it was my impatience to meet with him again. We hadn't seen each other, which made the situation all the more tense.

We had agreed to meet up at a restaurant, which Charles had found in Monaco, as we would both be at home during the weekend for some deserved relaxation, before I at least would fly out again to the Netherlands and other places to continue the celebration of my Championship.

It was now Sunday afternoon and I sat in my flat on the couch just staring out over the Mediterranean as I had done so many times before. This time the thoughts were just covered with imagines of Charles. And as I caught myself daydreaming, my phone started to ring. I snapped back to reality, and saw it was Charles who had called. I quickly picked up the phone.
"Hey, it's Max," I said, although I knew he knew it was me as it was him, who had called me. God, you're so stupid Max, I thought to myself.
"Hey Max, of course it's you, I called you," I could hear Charles laugh in the background. See, you've made a fool of yourself now Max, I hissed at myself. "Anyway, don't forget our booking at the restaurant in two hours. Shall we just meet up there? I'll text you the address," he said.
"Yeah, sounds good to me... soo, I guess I'll see you then?" I replied.
"I'll see you then," Charles said before he hung up. I quickly realised I still needed to shower and pick an outfit and just get ready, as my lazy body was still in my sweats. I also realised that time would be my enemy in regards of getting ready. So i quickly rushed up and out into the bathroom and frantically turned on the shower. As I stood there, I couldn't help but smile and think about that this night had to be perfect. As the water soaked my body, I just stood there, imagining what could be.

When I finished up my shower I realised that I had forgotten to grab a pair of boxers before I went out into the bathroom, so I opened the door into the hallway and aimed at my bedroom. My bedroom laid "behind" my living room, so I had to go through there to get to a new pair of boxers. And as I entered the living room, it suddenly wasn't the big windows and people being able to glance through the windows, that worried me. Because, in some weird way, Victoria had found herself a way in and was now sat in the couch.
"MAX. OH MY GOD, I'M SO SORRY," she burst out, trying to contain the obvious laughter, which now formed in her.
"VIC! HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GET IN HERE, STOMME EIKEL?" I replied back to her letting a Dutch swear word once again leave my mouth. I really have to start scaling down these swear words, I reminded myself.
"I just wanted to see what you were up to, and your door wasn't locked, so I just slipped in," she laughed.
"Well, I'm rather busy actually, so if you wouldn't mind talking tomorrow maybe," I said back to her stressing my sentence on tomorrow.
"Alright bro, but could you please put on some boxers?" She said, as my face turned red as a tomato realising I had just scolded my sister butt naked.
"Yeah, sorry Vic," I said as I rapidly put on some boxers.
"Anyway, what are you up to actually?" She asked me. I started to fumble with my words obviously trying to find a cover story for my secret plans with Charles.
"I'm ehh... I'm... I'm meeting up with my personal trainer for some dinner celebration," I said, proud of my cover story, which was quite plausible, if I said sp myself.
"Okay bro, see ya in the morning then," Vic replied getting up and giving me a hug before she winked at me and went off.
