I felt the small waves of air lightly brush me cheek. It came with distinct gaps to the previous. It made me feel safe in some way. As I took my leg out from under the blanket, I felt the rays of sunlight hit it, as they warmed my skin. It caused me to gently wake up, and as I opened my eyes, I realised that the small waves of air was in fact Max's breaths, as I had snuggled up into his chest, and his nose was placed right on top of my cheek. I couldn't help but to inhale a bit of the scents, which Max's body emitted. I liked it. They were attractive.
I felt my hand intertwined with Max's, and I gently stroked the back of it with my thumb before gently wiggling my own hand away, so that I could rub my eyes. As I did, I felt Max move on to his back and sighed.
"Good morning, schatje," he said before he had even opened his eyes.
"Ciao, mon amour," I replied back as I now lifted me up with my elbows, so that I could lean in over his body. My eyes met his, and we smiled to each other, before Max swept me off my elbows and pulled me in for a kiss. I was a little hesitant at first, because I was afraid he wouldn't like it because of my morning breath. He killed off any concerns though, as he increased the passion in the kiss, if that was even possible.
After a couple of minutes of cuddling, exchanging sweet kisses, small chuckles, we forced ourselves to release us from heaven. The bed that is. "Do you like wanna get some breakfast or something?" Max asked me. "I can make you some pancakes, if you'd like."
"That is just the thing I need, thanks Maxy."
"You can go take a shower while I cook them. There are towels over there in that closet, and ehm... you can ehm... borrow some of my clothes, if you don't want to wear that again," he said, pointing towards the dump of clothes on the floor that belonged to me.
I happily accepted the proposal, and Max got out of bed to get some clothes for me, leaving me in a whimper though, as I lost my cuddly boyfriend.
"Heyy baby, it's okay. I'm right over here," Max said half-chuckling. It was cute though, gotta admit. He handed me the clothes and a towel and went off into the kitchen to make the pancakes. I groaned and stepped out of bed myself, grabbing the clothes, which Max had left for me and went off towards the bathroom.
As I stepped out into the joint kitchen and dining room, I could see Max behind the bar stools his back facing towards me, as he jammed to the music that he had found on his phone. I grinned to myself as that might have been the cutest thing, which I had ever seen. Unfortunately, he heard my grin though and faced around, his eyes meeting mine, and I quickly looked down, my cheeks blushing.
"Hey you, don't be shy... dontcha like me singing?" Max asked with a heavy accent, which caused me to relax a bit more.
"Yeah I do, chéri," I said.
"You better hurry out in that shower, 'cause you look kinda hot right now," he said, as I quickly realised that I was still standing in nothing but my boxers. I hastily made my way out to the bathroom, where I immediately turned on the shower and let the still cold water coat my body. I closed my eyes, and my mind wondered off into the distance.
It was nice to be here at Max's place. Nice to be with Max. More than I could have ever imagined. Of course, I didn't know that I liked him until a couple of months ago, and I was only reassured that night in Abu Dhabi. I just for one thing in the world hoped that we hadn't moved too fast. I mean, we are already boyfriends, and we've only proper known each other for about a month. Of course I didn't mind, because right now I was levitating, and I sincerely hoped that Max was at the same place, mentally.
I was almost certain that he was, when I stepped out of the bathroom and looked over to the dining table, where Max had set up to plates opposite each other with his fresh made chocolate chip pancakes on the plates alongside with some syrup. But the convincing element was the vase in the middle of the table with two roses in. Max suddenly stood behind me and swept his arms around my waist and resting his chin on my shoulder. I let myself fall into the embrace.
