DAWN rose, the orange and yellow hues slowly turning to blue and the clouds started to appear. Solaria had stretched her arms, the light in their room shined on them, and she was feeling quite hungry. "Hey," She leaned over Chase, poking his cheek, "Wake up. We gotta get ready." He groans, he was still tired and wanted to sleep in. Ria crossed her arms and huffed. "If you don't wake up, I'm talking to the new guy."
That made the boy jolt up out of his sleep, he glared at Ria and she chuckled at his jealousy. "That woke you up, now let's eat. I'm hungry." Chase sighed and started to get dressed. The couple had made their way downstairs as the rest of them also did too. On the dinner table, there was a bunch of food, that they didn't buy or get. But it did look good to Solaria. Topher and Molly sent a smile. "Hey. Me and Molly whipped up some chow." Everyone walked in to take a closer look at the different foods.
"So this is why you left? Explains the little remodeling job upstairs." Gert pushes up her glasses, "We assumed you were gone for good. And by assumed, I mean hoped." Chase sends a fake smile at him, making Ria laugh. "You showed me kindness, amigo, and I'm showing it back." Topher sighed, everyone didn't say anything to him, still very hesitant. "Had to get past your guard dog first. What's this?" He looks at the Fistigons in Chase's hands, now curious.
"My guard dog." Topher laughs, it was a awkward mist floating in the room between him and the team, except for Molly who watched the interactions. "You people are muy interesante. Is there something going on here that I need to know about?" Solaria shook her head no, "Ya sabes demasiado." She spoke the second language like it was easy, she didn't speak it much, but her biological father had taught it to her. Nico looks at Molly, "Sorry...but he might be my relative. Isn't that nuts?"
"Where did your relative get all this food?"
"It's called urban foraging."
"Is that like artisanal stealing?"
Everyone felt like he was hiding something from them, Nico definitely knew something was up. "No, man. Stolen goods? That ain't me. I asked permission first. Go ahead, make yourself a plate." He offered to the teens, nobody touched a thing. He looked between all of them, "No? Look, I can see you guys aren't .. sure about me." He informs, "Correct." Ria leaned against Chase's arm, "So I'm gonna be honest. I know who you are. You've been all over the news."
That made everyone perk up and now interested, "Pretty hard to miss, if you ask me." Chase had gotten his fistigons ready, just encase they would have to fight him. "You should leave." He warns Topher, but he didn't seemed phased. "Oye. Cálmate, hombre. Think about it. You know why you can trust me? Because I don't need you." His words were confident, and his ego. He was talking to them like he knew them and would just live here. "I've already got this whole street life thing wired. You guys?" He looks at everyone of them
