MUSIC had helped Solaria drown out the aching thoughts and emotions of others. She would have to try to get these new abilities under control, she didn't even know the half of powers that she unlocked. It was times like where she would accidentally read someone's mind, and see what was happening. She didn't mean to, but it wasn't under her control just yet.
The house carried anger, sadness, and even guilt. But some of the parts were better more than others. Clatters could be heard from Gert's room, probably just Old Lace. Karolina and Nico were fighting earlier, and Solaria didn't want to go past there. Ria had her headphones on, the tune carrying her away as she hummed along to the song. Making her way downstairs to the dinner room, Alex and Chase had gotten back from the store bring in some goods. Some of their food were getting old and moldy, which was disgusting.
"Oh, good, you got the food." Solaria started to help them unpack the stuff, bringing it to the kitchen. Everyone went silent as Karolina had came in, they didn't know what to say to her. She hasn't been out of her room since two nights ago. And if she did, no one spoke to her, she kept to herself. "If nobody else is gonna say it, I will." Karolina speaks up, voice cracking a little bit as she crossed her arms. "What happened at the dig site was awful." Everyone had knew, "Yeah. We, uh, we get that." Chase sighs at the girl.
"Is there anything you need? Anything we can do?" Gert offered to help her during this tough time. "We could have another funeral. Maybe not a Wiccan one this time." suggested Molly, glancing over to Nico who was cleary uncomfortable on the topic. "Thanks, Molly. All I really need is just a day off." Karolina she tells everyone, "A day off?" Ria chews a piece of a grape; the flavor melting in her mouth that the crunchy taste. "Off of everything. I don't care what mission-y crap goes on today. I'm out." Which was understandable, she needed time to grieve and heal. Loosing a parent is not easy.
"Well, what's your plan?" Chase asks the girl, "Maybe take the bus to the beach. Hike the canyon. I haven't decided yet." Karolina had a smug look on her face, "Maybe that's what we all need-a day off." Alex told everyone, and they looked at him confused. "What? You were just telling me how it's getting all claustrophobic in here." Alex looked at Chase, who had a scowl. "Thanks for that, man." Chase looked unimpressed at him, maybe Alex was right. After the last few weeks, they all needed a break for their mental.
"No, but you're right. We could all use a break, a day off. You know, just-and then tomorrow we can decide what's next." Karolina nodded in agreement to him, "Wilder, what are you gonna do with a day off?" Chase questions, he gets out his phone, "I'm gonna find out if I still have a girlfriend." He went to make a call and walked out of the room, leaving the rest. "He had a girlfriend?" Solaria asks all of them, "You didn't know?" Chase looks at her, "No. he had a girlfriend. Didn't expect that." She shrugged casually, still continuing to eat the grapes.
