THE plan was set. They would go to the Gibborim church, where a ceremony would set place, that had gave them the time to swoop the empty halls to see where the next sacrifice would be held. Everyone had their stuff ready. Chase and Ria were on non speaking terms, the girl would eventually calm down about the whole situation, but, they had a mission to execute.
Everyone was huddled in the small car, it was a tight space in the back seat, it was pretty hot in the car, the windows were cracked so air would be blowing in the car, giving them a form of a cooling sensation. The car ride to the church was mostly silent. They parked their car somewhere that nobody wouldn't see it, Karolina had led them to the ceremony, seeing as the members and her parents were already there.
They were secretly on the second floor, Karolina using her powers to create a beautiful aura of bright and warm colors. She turns to look at them, "Go ahead, guys. I'll catch up with you." The team nodded, now the plan was officially set in motion. They went down the white hallway, seeing on their left side, a open room. "I think this is the right room." Nico leads them in, looking around. "Only one way to find out." Chase puts on the x ray goggles, Alex pulls out his computer.
He looked around the room, seeing behind the walls. "What is it?" Solaria asked him, his faces scrunched up, "Not exactly sure." He looked around some more before taking off the goggles. "It's a secret room. But I don't think we can get in it." He puts them back in his beige backpack that he always carried around when doing a mission. Alex types some things on the computer, "This should open it up without drawing too much attention.." a scanner beeps, showing a handprint before the door unlocks.
Ria was the first one to go in, it was bright, cold, and had lots of technical stuff. But what really caught their attention was the big tube in the center. Victor, Chase's dad seemingly in a coma while standing up in it. "Dad?" Chase breathes out, but, on the other hand, Jonah had already had a sacrifice going. The door opens, Karolina comes in, "The ceremony's in its final stage." Informing the others of how little time they had. Nico pulls out the staff, "Bend my will." She demanded, pointing it at the box, which the metal had bender easily.
The machine whirrs down, "Now, Molly." The youngster went up to the box, taking off the top of the metal that was covering the box. The machine had fully powered down. And it came to a surprise on who they found inside. It wasn't just some random person, it was Alex's dad. Unconscious. "Holy shit. Dad!" Alex tries to wake up him up, "Move." Solaria had easily picked the adult up without touching him. His body floating above Ria's arms just in case. "Wilder, need you to come check this out. I think I can figure out how to get this open." Chase called him over.
