SOLARIA jolted up out of her sleep once again. She sighed, rubbing her face. This was the second time she's been having this recurring dream. It was the team, but, their was this looming darkness. Watching their every move until it finally attacked them. That was the part where the girl kept waking up. She didn't know what it meant or why it kept happening.
She's having a feeling that something might go wrong. But she was probably just overreacting and overwhelmed. She wipes the tiny drops of sweat off her forehead, she gets up out of bed, finding a fresh pair of clothes for the day. After 15 minutes of doing her hair and makeup, she made her way downstairs to the rest of group where they were huddled in Alex's room.
It was a fresh morning, the sun was shining and the birds were chirping. "PRIDES about to do a news conference, so I hacked into a bunch of microwave and satellite news feeds-" Alex started to explain to the group of girls, "If it's on the news, can't we just watch it online?" Nico cuts him off, pressing a button his his keyboard. The tv screens cuts too the news channel where Stacy, Tina and Victor were. Weird, it was only three of them. And they looked different. "Is that Stacy?" Molly asked, "My mom is wearing pink?" Nico looks at her mom, it was unsettling for her.
"There's the Magistrate." Xavin points out to them, "Turn it up." Ria told Alex and he does, Victor was the first one to speak. "Thirty six hours ago, a gas leak led to an explosion that destroyed our headquarters and critically injured Robert Minoru." He spoke to the press while cameras flash and goes off. "D-did you know about your dad?" Alex asks Nico, everyone glancing at her, "Or that there was a gas leak?" She shook her head no, Ria could tell that she was shaken up about something, but didn't want to out her.
"Uh-I don't remember much about what happened after we split up." She sounded confused about herself, maybe the effects of the drones were still there and messing with her brain. "Just remember that's PRIDE up there. If they're speaking into a microphone, it's probably a lie." Leslie informed them, being a former pride member and all. "I'm so sorry, Nico. Your dad seemed on the nicer and less evil parts." Ria told her, and Nico thanked her with a small smile.
"Robert is in intensive care at University of Los Angeles Medical Center. We're praying for his full and speedy recovery. Aren't we Tina?" The camera pans over to a smiley and giggly Tina. "Mm-hmm. Totes." Tina poses, this wasn't like her, and everyone knew that from her strict personality. "What is my mom doing?" Nico was more confused than the rest of them at the behavior. "Channeling 2012 Miley Cyrus?" Molly furrowed her eyebrows, cracking a joke. Xavin moves closer to the tv,
"That's the daughter. She craves attention and stimulation. It's just as I suspected. When the ship blew up, the Magistrates family took new bodies." Xavin explained, they all sat there, trying to ease their mind that they have to deal with a family of aliens that take new forms. "But my dream things was too far fetched?" Nico recalls. "Wait, how does it work?" Alex asked the alien, now more curious than ever. "Yeah, what happens to the person already in there?" Molly asked Xavin.
