Her head was aching.

Just looking at the relax white haired male in front of her, her head was already aching.

To make matter worst, the man had the audacity to even smirk that her causing her temple to throb in pain.

"Abel."

His friend said with a pained toned.

"What. Are. You. Doing. Here."

Heaven knows how much she wanted to snap his neck away from his body right now.

"It's my one and only friend debutant party, how could I missed it?"

He smile back as if there was nothing wrong with what he was saying.

In fact there was nothing wrong with it.

What was wrong is how your heart throb the moment you heard him say the word 'Friend'.

With a sigh, you face him.

Both of you were currently in the garden where you manage to drag him in the middle of the night the moment he arrived in the party unannounced.

"Okay, now you have a point."

You spoke

"But that's not the case. You said you won't come. How am I supposed to act when you came unannounced, the heir and only son of the duke."

You said with another sigh.

"Oh please you knew I never care about such things."

Liar

You thought, almost rolling your eyes at him but manage to get a hold of yourself before doing so.

"Aish! Whatever, let's go back inside."

You spoke, dropping the topic of him coming unannounced and have already grab his hand to drag him back into the party

But then you can't pull him, more like he didn't move on his spot. He usually let you take the lead whenever the two of you has to go to somewhere but this guy now refuses to move on his spot.

"Hey, you know I'm the light of the party inside, how about we hurry up and- what?"

You ask when you end up looking back at him only to see him seriously looking at you

He was looking at you all seriously, wearing his formal clothes, his white haired brushed back unlike its usual style, the way he was looking at you made you feel nervous and want to look away yet you manage to remain calm.

"What?"

You repeated once again with a sigh

You knew he was never a fan of parties, making you wonder why he even came in the first place when he wasn't even required to.

You were only replied with nothing but silence coming from him, the way the moonlight hits the spot both of you were right now giving light of his features.

Since when did this guy looks so handsome to you?

You thought, unable to look away as you heard the orchestra playing inside.

It was already your time to dance, making you wonder if your parents were already looking for you inside.

"Look, I need to go-"

"You look decent tonight. The dress suits you well."

Hah?

"Thank you? I already knew that though."

You spoke, raising a brow at him

Weird guy.

"Well then I need to-"

Taking a hold of your hand, you halted your way inside as you were pulled back into Abel.

"Ab-"

"May I have this dance? My Lady (First name)(Lastname)."

Fuck.

"Yes."

Fucking bitch, since when did it start?"

You asked you're as you let him take the lead as both of you dance under the moonlight in the middle of your residence garden.

Glancing up from his chest to his face and then his eyes. Your heart skipped a beat the moment your eyes met.

No.

NO. NO. NO. NO.

NO WAY.

Absolutely no way!

Why? Why does it has to be him?

"Are you okay?"

He asked, looking almost concerned if it wasn't you whom he was asking

"Why wouldn't I be?"

You scoff

Pretending to be calm at all, because heaven knows you aren't.

Looking at the man in front of you, the one you're dancing with.

This guy was not capable of love. He said it so many times before all throughout these years you've been by his side, the same as it was way before.

So why does it has to be him you had to fall for?

"In fact I'm very happy tonight."

You laugh, laughing at your feelings

"hmm? Is that so? Why?"

"Nothing. It's a secret."

You know nothing would be the same as it was before.

All thanks to this stupid feelings you have to get rid off.

Looking at the pair dancing underneath the moonlight, Fiona could not help but to feel her heart ache. Knowing at this very moment, both of you were feeling the same thing, and came upon the same conclusion, get rid of it.
