"We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of George Paul Letissier, a loving father and a caring man to all. It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to this pure soul," the priest states.

"We must remember him with a smile, for he was never one for tears, reflect instead on happy memories, the ones that are stained with laughter, and joy."

"His son - Bentley Letissier - has a few words to speak I believe," the priest says, stepping back as Bentley steps forwards, his eyes glaring at the mound of mud by his feet.

"I don't believe in an afterlife, nor did he," Ben states, "I don't have much to say. Only one comment."

"God - if they are real, will have to beg for forgiveness for putting him through this, because when it is my time I will not be merciful," Bentley comments, "there is no way they needed him more than I do."

After the burial, the group headed back to the pub.

Alex had her hand entwined with Kaliannes as they walk through small heath. She knew it was illegal to feel the way they did. But it was no more illegal than the things she already does. Besides, they own the police, who's going to arrest her?

"I'm sorry," Kali apologises, "I should never have doubted you when you said it was important - I just wish you would have told me. You can talk to me."

"I know," Alex replies, "but there's some things that I don't need to say. I did not mean to offend you when I said it was more important than you, I meant it relative to the conversation."

"I understand," Kali nods.

"You know I'm not good at emotions, I can't show them all too well, but please don't doubt that I love you," Alex states.

Kali felt a sense of nausea. She should never have let Pam get into her head. She should never have let Pam take her to bed. To her and Alexandria's bed nonetheless.

Of course Alex cares for her. Shelby's never did anything they didn't want to. If Alex didn't want her, didn't care for her, there is no way she would allow them to be seen together in public.

She had two options. Hide what happened, mitigate the trail. Or come clean and hope Alex forgives her. She will find out. Shelby's find out everything. They are essentially omniscient. Which would be worse, waiting for her to find out or being truthful.

The walk to the pub was silent. Alex found it a comforting silence, however Kalianne had never felt more suffocated. How could she do this to her?

It would be more beneficial for both of them to do it now. Alexandria would only be angrier if she kept on without being honest. It was what mattered most to her. Honesty. She appreciated it.

"Lex, we need to talk," Kalianne says, gesturing for them to go into the empty snug as everyone surrounded the bar. Amari and Harry serving them all quickly.

"In private, eh?" Alex questions. It was a dry comment but Kali knew the insinuations behind it.

"I'd rather it be in private, yes," Kali nods, as Alex follows her into the room, closing it before, snaking an arm round her waist, pulling her close and pressing a kiss to her lips. The lips that had kissed another woman.

"What is it?" Alex asks.

"It's about Pam," Kali speaks, fiddling with her hands.

"Pam?" Alex repeats, watching as Kali frowns, her expression becoming one of remorse and sorrow, "I never meant for it to happen."

"What's happened?"

"You know the evening she was round, when George, bless his soul, passed?" Kali says.
