"Where have you two been?" Arthur questions as the two sisters walk out from behind the bar.
Ada was laughing, and leaning against her sister as an aid to walk. Alex wasn't in a much better state, she had almost fallen down the stairs as they'd walked up from the cellar. Which happened to be what Ada was still laughing at.
A waiter walks past carrying a tray of shots, Alex takes one, finishing it in one, making a face of disgust, "what the fuck was that?"
"Cointreau, ma'am," he responds, carrying on walking by.
"When has cointreau ever been something you shot?" Alex says.
"Want to sit down?" Polly offers, and Alex shakes her head, as she goes to stand behind Amari's chair, "I want to dance."
"You hate dancing, Lex," Amari replies.
"So you don't want to dance with me?" Alex asks.
"Oh, I wouldn't miss this for the world," Amari laughs, as Alex offers her an arm, guiding her towards the empty space infront of where the band was playing.
"You smell like a barrel of whiskey," Amari states.
"And yet here you are still pulling me closer," Alex replies.
"Well you still belong to me, and I don't like the way other people are looking at you," Amari says.
"I belong to you?" Alex teases.
"Got an issue with that, Shelby?" Amari responds.
"Oh, you know I'll never have an issue with being yours," Alex smiles down at her.
"Good," Amari says, placing her hands on Alex's shoulder, "you're mine."
"Yes, master," Alex jokes, pulling Amari closer, "I'm all yours, love."
Amari leans up, gently placing a kiss on Alex's lips, her hands trailing up Alex's neck, resting on her cheeks as Alex's arms lock around her waist.

Arthur stands nervously infront of his family, clearing his throat, "i-uh, I want to introduce you to my fiancé."
"Fiancé?" John repeats, laughing, "someone wants to marry you?"
"I do," Linda states, walking into the betting den.
Alex sits up straighter in her chair. It now made sense as to why Arthur hadn't wanted to let anyone meet the woman.
Linda looks briefly in her direction, "hello, Alex."
She spoke her name in the way someone would speak of dirt. Of something they deemed inferior.
"Linda," Alex responds.
"You two know each other?" Arthur questions suspiciously.
"Unfortunately," Alex says.
"Alex, please don't tell me you've slept with your brothers fiancé," Polly sighs.
"What- no," Alex responds, "ew."
"You didn't have that reaction to my sister," Linda states.
"Ah yes, the philanderer," Alex replies, turning to her brother, "you didn't know that she'd Kaliannes sister?"
"We didn't really talk about family," Arthur admits, awkwardly scratching the base of his neck, "we can all get along though, we're adults."
"Adulterers, in some cases," Tommy says, making Polly laugh.
"Fine, Arthur," Alex agrees, "we'll play nice."
"You'll be nice, not play nice, Alex," Arthur corrects.
